@David-Rudgley its also different between CarPlay and Android Auto. Car Play has more tilt and looks much better !

@Rob-Verhoeff, MRA itself is calling out for suggestions. So we will see at least SOMETHING of them in the endproduct.

@Calibos, I did exactly what you did, download the whole of Europe. After multiple resumes it gets stuck exactly at the point where that happens for you too: France, Italy, UK. But I see that it still tries to continue after resuming the download like I mentioned before. Ultimately, after some manual resumes again, also these three countries get downloaded. So I think I was correct in the assumption that these 3 countries are the most prone to the problem because those are the three biggest downloads.

So, I am not saying it works okay, I am just saying that it works like it did before. The best way to handle this (for now) is to set your screen time-out (standbye time) to a long time, and keep the app in focus until it is ready. Yes, the dirty way I am afraid.

Here seems to be aware of this problem. The app HereWeGo has the same problem.
But the real question is..... When will Here fix this.

@Nick-Carthew thanks Nick, it's a strange one as there is no lag on Google maps, TTGo or Sygic. I'll keep messing around with the settings to try to solve it as the integrated native of the app with the excellent planner appeals to me.

@Peter-Schiefer, they ARE looking into competitors, but that does not mean they will be making a clone of them. I will not go any further in this senseless discussion with you. I suggest you move on to Scenic.

Gisteren een rit gedaan met Android Auto.
Een paar dingen vielen mij op.
Op het Android Auto scherm ging alles goed. Maar op mijn telefoon scherm had ik vaak dat er geen kaart zichtbaar was.
Zodra ik de verbinding met Android Auto verbrak was er wel weer een kaart.

Het stroomverbruik was erg hoog.
Ik heb vorige week ook een route gereden van ongeveer dezelfde lengte. Toen was het stroomverbruik niet zo hoog. Na 3 uur rijden accu was ongeveer 5% kwijt.
Er was 1 groot verschil tussen vorige week en gisteren. Vorige week geen herberekeningen. Gisteren zijn er veel herberekeningen gedaan tijdens het rijden. De meeste in een klein gebied. Juist in deze periode zakte de acculading snel weg. Na 5 uur rijden was ik 60% kwijt.
De telefoon wordt via de Android Auto kabel van stroom voorzien.

Using the new beta on my motorcycle with CarPlay, I have observed that there is a difference from the previous one related to the audio of the navigation instructions. Before, I used the navigation channel for the instructions.
Since the last beta for the same instructions, use the channel identified as "Vol. Audio."
This causes problems since the radio is cut when it gives an instruction and you have to reactivate it, or it is mixed with the audio of the music causing cuts in the instructions.
Is it possible to return to the previous operation, and use the navigation channel for the instructions?

I don't know how it is in your area but in my area it is very usual to use approx 80-100 shaping points for a route with a length of 200-300 km.
That are a lot of points visible in my screen. Because there are a lot of shaping points, the Waypoints are invisible. While the Waypoints the points are which matters

I understand your second function of shaping points with color. That's why i suggested to hide all blue (standard color) shaping points. In this case shaping points with different colors will be visible. And then you see only the points which matters.

I think that distance for really short following of instructions is not very meaningful anyway (e.g. turn right and immediately left does not really need a distance at all). For distances of let's say 50 to 500 meters the distance is nice to know in advance, and specifically in that scenario I have absolutely no problem with it being static from the first instruction. For greater distances knowing them that early has no benefit because they will turn into the first instruction anyway after passing the previous one.

People seem to look at those info tiles a lot. For myself I can say that I seldomly look at them at all. The routeline itself is leading for me, and it also tells me if a second turn is close or not.
