@Thomas-Schäfer said in Problems after offline/online and recalculation: The turn-by-turn directions at the top were no longer updated and there were no more voice prompts. Where you navigating with the native app on your phone, or with an Android Auto or Carplay system? A freezing screen is not uncommon in AA/CP, but in a natively running app I have never heard that. @Thomas-Schäfer said in Problems after offline/online and recalculation: I did not dare cancel the app and restart it because I was afraid of losing the current tracking. When you force close the app and restart it, it will ask you if you want to continue the tracking or not. @Thomas-Neumeyer said in Problems after offline/online and recalculation: in diesem Fall verliert man aber die Verkehrsmeldungen auf der Strecke oder? Thomas Yes, with offline navigation you don't get any traffic info. For scenic routes that is seldomly needed anyway. @Adrian-Avram said in Problems after offline/online and recalculation: You have "Navigation routes as tracks" active, but that function works better online not offline ! Correct. When using routes-as-tracks it is better to do this online. If you want to be offline, better disable that feauture.

It always a good idea when navigation to have your phone mounted in the open air. This helps cooling your phone. When navigating your phone runs hot. How hot depends on the app.

@M.-Schrijver I agree with you. MRA Nav being a multipoint system it is no surprise that this is the core and complex. Currently the app has one way of dealing with a missed point. I strongly feel that it is impossible to make everybody happy with one algorithm. But I can also understand the reluctance to expose parameters to an internal algorithm. But, as mentioned before, maybe there is a way to offer multiple algorithms whereby at least one is easy to understand and document. I stumbled across LocusMap the other day which has Point priority and Route priority navigation. I dont know if it is of any use for us but I found it interesting.

It's the nature of each Navigation devices, to calculate (min. onetime after import) route by it's own algorithm. You can't avoid this. As others wrote: set many route points and compare in MRA-Routeplanner if route will be same in TomTom map. At least, export your route as gpx incl. route AND track (usually gpx 1.1 format). Then your group mates should import your file and should display on their screen both, route and track. Then it becomes obvious on each device, if it calculates the route exactly along the track.

@roger916, what @richard-3v said, if it is about the web planner. If it is about a route you want to start navigating in the MRA app, simply tap the drive mode, and select the drivemode you want to use. Be aware that changing drive modes potentially changes the route. Often it is better not to change it

Correct. MRA has no restriction apart from 200 waypoints (any type) total per route.

@MyZ51 said in Shaping point ignored by app: I always figured that if you designed it on the desktop and emailed the route or QR, the recipient’s app would follow your shaped route, thus overriding any settings they have in their device setup. You figured correctly, except for that not device settings are honored, but planner settings are. And of course only within the MRA ecosystem. An exported GPX does not contain any planner settings.

@Steve-Cuttell, hmm, I have never seen this behavior before. if this problem is reproducible, I would open a ticket on the support page. MRA will likely ask for a log file.
