@mark-coughlin What is the setting of your route optimisation? Have you set it to Fastest or to Shortest? One will have a different approach to a route than the other. If the route optimisation is set to Fastest: yes the route will be as shown in your screenshot because the route could be faster between points 12 and 16. But set to Shortest, the route should go from 12 to 13 to 14 to 15. Something to check as well

@Brian-Martin In principle, Android Auto is a mirror of your phone, and AA will not change a route on its own. Any route changes would also occur on your phone as soon as you tap Navigate. Could it be that you created the route using a different map than the HERE map (for example, OSM or TomTom)? Are any road closures visible on the map along the route you created? Which area does the route pass through? Is there a seasonal road closure involved? It might be helpful to share your route in this topic so others can take a look.

Hey you, I once entered a manual blocking for me between WP 4 and WP 5, so with beginning and end, but the result is not as expected, I would have thought it would then run from WP 4 like the connection entered in red. HERE is a map that is also maintained by users of HERE via a special website of HERE. This information can be processed quickly or it needs some time. But before i scare you of about HERE, which map did you used to create your route? HERE, TomTom or OpenStreet Map (OSM)? Like @herman-veldhuizen said, if there is a closure and this is not marked up correctly, it can have some effect on your route. But, did you used enough waypoints as well? If you put 2 waypoints miles apart from eachother and in the online routeplanner the route you created takes 6 hours but after loading it in your navigation system or MRA Next app, he route is suddenly 5 hrs and 10min. it might be also that there is some road you did not selected to go pass it but the app uses it as a part of the route. This might have an effect of the time as well But please, provide us with a link to tat route so we can cehck it also.

@white.mouse Hi, Tks for yr answer. All clear. However, if I export the route into bmw navigation 3 choices appear. 1 route with the amount of waypoints I made. 1 with the amount of waypoints the bmw navigator creates (a lot). 1 with the poi created. First and second one shows no poi. The last one shows only poi’s. Clearly I am doing something wrong

Yes, it saved me from an extra 60km detour. You can also specify the maximum speed in the settings. Very handy if you want to drive more relaxed than the maximum speed.

@Lynchy67 It is on the list for major maintenance of the website, just like being able to export multiple routes in one go. Please be patient.
