Maybe BMW should have collaborated with MRA - i have now had some correspondence with them with a list of improvements that could be made.

Only option at present is possibly the Carpe Iter. Then I can use MRA for Navigation and the Tablet allows far greater use.

@De-Keyser Yes, wired charing is better but not comfortable when you have to unplug it every time at a gas station etc. That's why the holder 2.0 seems interesting, I will consider it.

I know the models you mention. In fact, the manufacturer has screwed a loose BMW adapter to the back of these models, just like with my Carpuride W619B. What I want to do is use such a kind of adapter in combination with a small rugged tablet so that I can also place it in the BMW cradle. This way I can always easily choose between using my BMW navigator IV, the Carpuride W609B or a tablet running the MRA Navigator Next app. 🙂

That is completely correct. A <WPT>tagged waypoint is in principle what we call a POI, a (way)Point of interest.

MRA (Web) imports a GPX with only <wpt> just fine and interprets them as a shaping points for a route.

If MRA imports those points as a route points, I think they are doing that wrong. But I tested uploading a POI file (with only <wpt> tags) as route, and (luckily) it throws an error.

For anyone else who might have missed this.

Not altogether ‘intuitive’ but, once pointed out, it’s something I’ll work with very happily indeed.
My interpretation of the UI was that selecting the move icon rendered the waypoint moveable by ‘picking it up’ and moving/placing it by hand (well, finger!).

hi Nick thanks for you help, If you look around the forum you will see many post's saying the issue does no exist on ios only on android but there has been a notice posted on the main web page that there is indeed a problem for android users . thanks for your help Dave .

Ok, like I assumed better or updated maps explains it, thanks, guys I never pointed at the app, app is great. So today main features for me are waypoints, its naming on screen and distance to during navigation.

Riding solo or with group timing is cruical. Even if you already know the way.
I will try to bring as much to the beta as possible. Currently my setup is tomtomrider 550 and MRA on phone. MRA still needs time for traffic and mainly offline maps, in country like Tunisia, Morocco, you cant solo depend on online maps like for instance in EU

So I do also use the old navigation MRA app with offline maps.

By the way, the coastal superhighway between Palermo and Messina wasn't that great, IMO, and with apologies for any Sicily fans who might be here! There were some nice views, but an amazing portion of the road is in tunnels, so you miss a lot of great views. If I were to do it over again, I would skip that part and go back through the more mountainous central part of the country.

Sorry, have to correct it again and correct it here. I made a mistake with the order in the last post, just tested it again and tried.

If you start the MRA with the iOS setting under Accessibility "Keyboard Control On" and paired Remotek One, the current app version 4.3.8 (386) crashes directly.

If you start the MRA with the iOS setting under accessibility "Keyboard control on" and leave Bluetooth off beforehand, i.e. without the Remotek One being paired, then the MAR starts normally, then you go to the navigation and then turn on the first Bluetooth on couples the Remotek One and all functions of the Remotek One and the MRA functions work perfectly. When leaving the MRA navigation, the MRA then crashes again.

Conclusion:

The normal MyRouteApp in the Start App menu application does not support iOS user aids with a switched on "keyboard control on" under iOS, only in the MRA navigation level of the app it is then flawless, with the possible functions that can be performed well with the Remotek One and the MRA navigation.

Switching between two apps here MRA and a radio player only works with "Keyboard Control On".

With "Keyboard Control Off" the entire MyRouteApp goes without crashing, but switching between the two apps is no longer possible.

Sorry, muss es noch einmal richtigstellen und hier korrigieren. Ich habe mich im letzten Beitrag vertan mit der Reihenfolge, habe es gerade noch einmal getestet und versucht.

Startet man die MRA mit der iOS Einstellung unter Bedienungshilfe „Tastatursteuerung Ein“ und gekoppelter Remotek One, dann stürzt die jetzige App Version 4.3.8 (386) direkt ab.

Startet man die MRA mit der iOS Einstellung unter Bedienungshilfe „Tastatursteuerung Ein“ und lässt vorher Bluetooth Aus, also ohne das die Remotek One gekoppelt ist, dann startet die MAR normal, geht man dann in die Navigation und schaltet dann erste Bluetooth Ein koppelt die Remotek One und alle Funktionen der Remotek One und der MRA Funktionen gehen einwandfrei. Beim verlassen der MRA Navigation stürzt die MRA dann wieder ab.

Fazit:
Die normale MyRouteApp im der Start App Menü Anwendung verträgt keine iOS Bedienhilfen mit einer eingeschalteten „Tastatursteuerung Ein“ unter iOS, erst in der MRA Navigationsebene der App geht es dann fehlerfrei, mit den möglichen Funktionen die sich mit der Remotek One und der MRA Navigation gut ausführen lassen.

Das Umschalten zwischen zwei Apps hier MRA und einem Radioplayer geht nur mit „Tastatursteuerung Ein“.

Mit „Tastatursteuerung Aus“ geht die gesamte MyRouteApp ohne Absturz, jedoch das umschalten zwischen den zwei Apps geht dann nicht mehr.
