@JP-d thanks - good to know . As I have said I think I have found the solution by supplementing the QL wireless option with a charger plugged into my 12v socket . It just means I have to monitor my phone usage and make choices at coffee stops . All part of the fun .
I like MRA and use it all the time now .

Ik verwacht niet dat het probleem binnen 1 dag wordt opgelost. Maar als het dan is opgelost, zou ik het wel fijn vinden als het wordt vermeld. Vermelden dat er een probleem is (of was) met een duidelijke omschrijving van het probleem en uiteraard vermelden dat er een oplossing voor is of dat het probleem is opgelost.

Ik weet dat je voor Komoot moet betalen. Dat vind ik geen probleem. Ik betaal ook voor MRA.
Als je er voor betaalt, mag je ook iets verwachten. Het is namelijk geen vriendenclub, maar een commercieel bedrijf. (MRA en Komoot)

de web-planner bevat HERE, TomTom en OSM kaarten. Die eerste twee allen met betaald abonnement. zowel de in-app-planner als Navigation Next werken op basis van de HERE SDK en kennen daarom alleen de HERE kaarten. het gratis deel van de app (inclusief follow-the-line navigatie) werkt alleen met de online OSM kaart.

@Benstew, Aangezien je "routes als tracks" aan hebt staan, kun je beter gebruik maken van online navigate. De bij een route horende track kan alleen online worden opgehaald. Sta je offline, dan krijg je slechts een benadering. Dat is niet de oorzaak van wat ik in je screenshot zie overigens, maar een goedbedoelde tip 😉

Wat de oorzaak is van die compleet andere route, ik heb geen idee. Dat lijkt strijdig met het feit dat je "route als track" aan hebt staan. Het lijkt ook een beetje een rondrit waar je halverwege instapt. Je kunt echter terug naar de track, door iets verderop in de track de track met een vinger op de routelijn te drukken en even vast te houden. De track wordt dan opnieuw berekent, over de resterende track heen.

@Thomas-Neumeyer In another topic "speed and speed limit display" there is a discussion about showing the speed limit during the free ride. It was replied few days ago this will be implemented in summer this year. So, hopefully this speed limit will also work offline and then I think it is necessary to link the map offline for free ride. Or, perhaps I am mistaken.

@M-Schrijver ik heb dat gevoel maar of dat klopt weet ik niet. had vandaag op de terugweg geen zin in onduidelijke route lijn en heb even alternatieve app gebruikt naast mijn xt. hopelijk word dit opgelost want het is net als het volgen van witte track lijn erg lastig.

AB routes, rechtstreekse bestemming dus, zonder kronkelopties kunnen gewoon volledig offline. Zeg maar dat wat Google Maps normaal doet. Alles wat betreft tracks is wel het best om dat online te doen.

I am at my home WIFI and have may be (no) or bad GPS satellite signal

dit weekend app gebruikt en ook samen met android auto. ik had geheel geen problemen met accu gebruik. ik heb wel 2x een vastloper gehad en er waren momenten van vertraging. vooral als ik afweek en terug kwam op route. ook ging automatisch overslaan van een route punt 1x niet goed. op die momenten denk ik dat er een probleem is met cpu gebruik. als ik gewoon me aan de route hield en geen afwijkingen had dan waren er geen problemen. het opstarten van de app zelf als android auto is wel traag in mijn geval. wederom dan verdenk ik toch cpu gebruik. het kan dus best mogelijk zijn dat bepaalde telefoon bij hoog cpu gebruik ook heet worden. het is maar een aanname. komend weekend ga ik misschien kijken of mijn a40 het beter doet.

welcome to the excellence that is MRA, well perhaps an exaggeration, it has it's flaws but doesn't everything, learn by your mistakes when planning a route. there a few golden rules you must stick to, otherwise your beautifully planned route will have you going down closed roads back and forward along motorways etc etc.

there are some who enjoy deprecating the app, do not pay attention to them, there are those who will mention OsmAnd in every thread possible, MEH! take the advice of the route experts and all the other good advice on here. some of it will work for you others may not.

my Xt has not seen daylight for over 2 years, i used an oukitel RT3 tablet without issue on many mutli day trips, always offline, i have now moved on to a carpuride 702b and not had any issues in around 4 months of use, I am using it on a multi day trip in 2 weeks. sure it will be fine,

if unsure, ask on this forum someone will know the answer, ignore the nay sayers.

Well that's simply creating Favorites prior to leaving home, isn't it? You can do that in the WEB planner (import favorites or create routes)
