I tend to agree with @Simon-q having the point name in any popup/notification would be a lot more informative than just a number.
Distinguishing between via & shaping points in this regard is IMO a nonsense, they are all points & should be treated the same, making a distinction just adds useless complexity.

What I also think would be useful & might make the numbers a bit more meaningful is if the option to "Show Next Waypoint Information" actually did what it says.

At present I believe this option only shows the point information when within a certain distance of the point.
If the point name was shown immediately after the previous point was passed, then the user would have time & maybe able to associate this point name with the number on the waypoint/skip button.

If the user selects to see the next point name show it to them, don't hide it with some hidden filter. IMO this is a poor design choice.

Ben benieuwd om dit aan komende zomer uit te testen betreft de hitte! Mijn telefoon werd tijdens het motorrijden in Frankrijk afgelopen zomer vaak onleesbaar tijdens het navigeren hahaha

Yes this is recognizable 😉 .
Instead of disabling calculation, I think it would be nicer to to have a feature that moves multiple WP at once, by selecting them in advance. This way you can move complete sections of the route, and have just one recalculation.

Omdat je je profiel nog op motor had staan komt de optie van de routeoptimalisatie niet beschikbaar. Als je het auto profiel selecteert gaat dat wel. Het motor profiel heeft op dit moment geen meerwaarde dus mijn advies zou zijn het auto profiel gebruiken. Als je dat gedaan had, zou je op je scherm ook gezien hebben. Hoeveel routepunten niet teveel maar zeker ook niet te weinig. Hangt een beetje van de route en de wegen erin af. Een hele globale schatting 1 per t km

i agee that some basecamp things are great. same with tyre. i also miss some things in MRA and they work but with more steps.

maybe in new website it will be all solved. if not there is always a workarround.

Used the App today to the Motorcycle Show in Birmingham, apart from a couple of meltdowns, it worked just fine ( to be fair Google maps threw a wobbly too ) The only thing that seems not to have been fixed it is the volume, when the directions are announced, when you have music playing on the phone, It's almost impossible to hear them. If there is no music, the app works just fine, and you can hear the directions perfectly.

It’s a couple of years since my Zumo died, but it definitely used to put the route that had a start time similar to the current time at the top of the list.

There’s not much in the Zumo I miss, but this feature was like having an apprentice always stood there with the next required part/tool, rather than having to tell it what you needed next. 🤣

@Con-Hennekens They are all downloaded. The towns are only 45 minutes apart. I'll try again later and see what It does.

@Con-Hennekens I know but I am questioning wether this should always be the case. If the behaviour is configurable then it can be as it is today but be changed by the user. This would allow shape points to be just points to shape the route with no side effects on for example what gets displayed (time to next stop, zooming). And possible stops can then be via points.

Just to be sure I just created a route that took 2 lane roads south of the Trans-Canada, then measured the distances between stops..and was pleasantly surprised. I just have to confirm the availability of gas stations due to the smaller tank size of my R1300 GS..

Mit den zwei Apple Geräten hast du natürlich den Vorteil der iCloud und den Foto Sync. So das beim speichern des Tracks die Fotos von deinen Aufnahmen zur Verfügung stehen.

Bei mir funktioniert das so leider nicht da ich mit meinen iPhone zwar die Fotos mache aber über meinen RT3 (Android) navigiere und somit beim beenden der Route die Fotos nicht auf dem Gerät zur Verfügung habe.

Daher dachte ich mir eben ob es nicht so eine Möglichkeit gebe um im Nachhinein den Track mit den Bilder zu bestücken und dabei die geodaten auszuwerten. Das hätte den Vorteil das es Geräte übergreifend funktionieren kann. Vielleicht liest @Corjan-Meijerink das und findet es auch interessant 🤭

Maybe a double-tap on a non-map area of the screen?

Like the directions area, top left, which is an easy area to aim for during a ride/drive.

A nice bright confirmation popup saying 'Locked' could let the user know the double-tap has worked.

It would also be wise to add a new Setting option to actively enable it just in case innocent new users starting double-tapping randomly, and lock the app.
