@JP-d thanks - good to know . As I have said I think I have found the solution by supplementing the QL wireless option with a charger plugged into my 12v socket . It just means I have to monitor my phone usage and make choices at coffee stops . All part of the fun .
I like MRA and use it all the time now .

Ik verwacht niet dat het probleem binnen 1 dag wordt opgelost. Maar als het dan is opgelost, zou ik het wel fijn vinden als het wordt vermeld. Vermelden dat er een probleem is (of was) met een duidelijke omschrijving van het probleem en uiteraard vermelden dat er een oplossing voor is of dat het probleem is opgelost.

Ik weet dat je voor Komoot moet betalen. Dat vind ik geen probleem. Ik betaal ook voor MRA.
Als je er voor betaalt, mag je ook iets verwachten. Het is namelijk geen vriendenclub, maar een commercieel bedrijf. (MRA en Komoot)

@OGRIII we specialise in scenic routing.
Sticking to a specific AB fastest route resulted in many unwanted recalculations forcing you to stick to that option where another option is available. It is indeed a deliberate choice.

@Peter-Zehentreiter Hi Peter, as Im using the DMD2 tablet it already has the button app when shipped, I've updated it and the C1 works in Googlemaps with cable connection as do Waze, Kurviger and DMD2 but MRA won't. I can't easily disconnect it to try the C1 with bluetooth on MRA so I will have to wait and see how Corjan gets on when he receives his C1.

OSMAnd does not export a <sym> tag, right. However, as they refer to a namespace/schema (xmlns:osmand), its extension complies with Topografic's GPX Spec.

Storing data in an individual extension is a clever way to keep and share information within an ecosystem. If this GPX is re-imported into OSMAnd, the category (and symbol) will be restored.

I agree, that is also what other applications do.
But as MRA is a platform that is used by a lot of other navigations app, I do not think you would look for an platform specific schema.

Osmand pulls the POI from OSM and that is one way to do it.
On the other hand I like the MRA solution better. If they can safe the symbol by export ( and import) this will be an huge improvement.

@Benstew, Aangezien je "routes als tracks" aan hebt staan, kun je beter gebruik maken van online navigate. De bij een route horende track kan alleen online worden opgehaald. Sta je offline, dan krijg je slechts een benadering. Dat is niet de oorzaak van wat ik in je screenshot zie overigens, maar een goedbedoelde tip 😉

Wat de oorzaak is van die compleet andere route, ik heb geen idee. Dat lijkt strijdig met het feit dat je "route als track" aan hebt staan. Het lijkt ook een beetje een rondrit waar je halverwege instapt. Je kunt echter terug naar de track, door iets verderop in de track de track met een vinger op de routelijn te drukken en even vast te houden. De track wordt dan opnieuw berekent, over de resterende track heen.

Because you explicitly skip to Via point 14. That's what that option does. If you want to honor the track, long-press at your own point of re-entry. It will guide you fastest way there. This is simply how it works.

Maybe it helps if you look at it this way: skipping by pressing the skip WP button does not skip the previous WP, but it skips TO THE NEXT waypoint.

Like I said earlier, if this is true you have a valid point. I have been asking questions about this in our test group, but are not able to test this myself currently. It does not align with my earlier experience of the "route as track" feature though.

@Ton-Machielsen ik gebruik soms een met kurviger web gemaakte track soms in kurviger v1 app. dan heb ik inderdaad altijd 1 op 1 route/track. hier wel herberekenen uit.

I always prefer to have a backup, that's why I have the BMW Connected app as well in case of an emergency.

I know devs are thinking about more offroad compatibility. I think when that gets developed it makes more sense to have tracks visible in the background. But it is probably a long term wish I am afraid.

Sort of… without hijacking the original thread, sometimes when planning a route I get this on HERE as you said… if I don’t notice and put the route on the XT2 and we get to that point all navigation stops…

Maar..... Ik zie NoScript tussen staan die je uitgeschakeld hebt, denk persoonlijk dat dat de boosdoener is geweest!

@Marinus-van-Deudekom In de instellingen van de T865x kun je weergavegrootte (≠lettergrootte) aanpassen. Dit helpt al een stuk. Nadeel, geen splitscreen meer mogelijk. Dus hopelijk komt in de toekomst MRA nog met een iets groter lettertype.

@Mike-Evans-1 Mike like you I am or now was a Basecamp user and very proficient in the use of it. I've had MRA for 2-3 years but only used it as a backup for the garmin satnav... This week and seeing as the Zumo XT2 isn't officially supported in Basecamp I thought I'd have a delve into MRA. I must admit it really is an excellent piece of kit and will definitely be my go to. Basecamp will be assigned to the digital cemetry in the sky..
