@John-S-Parry I know a bit about garmin routing, not a fan, ditched my XT2 because the recalculation function just does not work, but that’s another thread! What you describe is not surprising, if a point is a long way off a route most nav devices wont recognise that you have gone through that point It sounds like the XT3 is clever enough to recognise you are back on the correct path/track after you have passed point # 7 which is something MRA does not do Auto skipping of points in MRA is not perfect but it does sort of work, I believe it attempts to direct you back at least 2 or 3 times to a missed point, i.e. it will recalculate 2 or 3 times to take you back, if you ignore these new instructed paths 2 or 3 times then the auto skip function kicks in & the route calculation will resume heading to your next point In you case point #8 is not a great distance from point #7 & there are not many options for MRA to recalculate back to #7 before you hit #8 hence what you experienced as for your ideas this should have no effect on this issue I would recommend keeping auto skip on, it just requires a bit of patience to let it do its thing it would be better if MRA was as clever as a garmin / tomtom & recognised it was back on track but the MRA devs have not figured out how to do that......yet! the fact that points are sometimes missed by nav systems is just one of those things & is why remote controllers for phones running MRA are probably so popular, it is a quick lift of a finger & press of a button to manually skip a point I loved my Tomtom because it could only navigate tracks so no Via or shaping points to miss but that sort of track navigation also has its limits "Automatic recalculations" is for when you deviate from a route/track, it will try & recalculate a path back to the route/track, it should not really be relevant here but its worth experimenting, maybe point #7 is far enough off route that its considered a deviation if you stay on the road Interesting the app has recognised something is amiss, odd the way it has tried to resolve it

@martin-white I have experienced that a public file with motorcycle closures for Germany has also caused this message. In the downloaded file were POI s of the signs at the beginning and at the end of the route which is okay but it was also between beginning to end a route in this file. I couldn't see it in MRA and loaded this public file into Basecamp, where I was only able to see it. Then deleted the routes in BaseCamp in the file and there were 106 POI left. I read this file again, and then everything was good. VG [image: 1783781726974-img_0230.jpeg] Link to the file Klick [image: 1783781990155-img_0231.png]

@Lenny-O said: @PieterG Thanks again, Pieter! My set up today is MRA Planner, MRA Nav App route xfer to Zumo XT via Garmin Drive. I have been running the MRA NAV in parallel to the Zumo XT for about 2000 miles now. I must say that MRA NAV performed quite admirably and 95% of discrepancies were caused by the user error (me) or misunderstanding / lack of in depth understanding of the features and settings. So, I am quite comfortable and confident with the MRA NAV and that's why I just wanted to get a larger and brighter unit. As far as navigating with MRA when the Internet is not available - this is no issue at all, really! As of today, as long as your routes are Synchronized - they are available for off-line navigation, provided you have downloaded the maps you need to run the routes. You don't even need the Internet to kick-off the route, like it was before in the prior releases, just be Synched. I love the new features of running a route as a track for one, it's amazing! So, I am a big fan and supporter of MRA and really love the fact that it is a living-thing, developing and evolving unlike others that are stagnant or deprecated by now.... I think I will stick to my current setup for now and see what developes in the near future Thank you for your thoughts!!! Hi Lenny, I think MRA will work excellently on a tablet. (then you won't be bothered by all the AA/AC limitations and freezes) Regarding navigation without an internet connection: I have tested this extensively. Naturally, with the latest updates, maps downloaded, MRA in offline mode, phone equipped with the latest firmware, etc. etc., and the data connection on my phone, and thus the Internet, was also disabled. I can assure you that I received notifications many times from the MRA app itself (!) that it could not reach the server, as well as other error messages indicating that the connection was missing. The most annoying part: navigation did not work until I reactivated the data/Internet connection. I was able to reproduce this problem multiple times, after first rebooting all equipment, so it was a thorough test. This is what happened to me for days on end. God only knows what caused it... (for the record: I haven't experienced these problems with other apps, so hardware and/or configuration errors can be excluded) Additionally, if you are in an MRA group and a shared route has been created within that group and you need to reload that route (like what happened to me when the MRA app crashed in conjunction with AA/AC for the umpteenth time), then MRA obviously doesn't see the group without an internet connection, with the result that you don't see the group routes either. So if you are riding in the mountains and have no connection, it's game over for your ride. You therefore have to download those group routes in advance. That is possible, but it takes some searching to figure out how to do it and where the file is located. (but then again, you do run the risk, for example during a multi-day trip, of not having the latest version on your phone if the group administrator has made a last-minute change to the route...) Good luck finding a suitable solution for yourself!

The BMW Nav 5 can handle a maximum of 30 announcing waypoints (via points) per route, you can also include up to 125 unannounced shaping points between any two waypoints. You have probably exceeded the Via point (announced waypoint limit.). If you MUST have a route overview you'd probably be better exporting the master route as a Track to the Nav 5 and displaying it beneath the magenta line of your routes.

@Lynchy67 It is on the list for major maintenance of the website, just like being able to export multiple routes in one go. Please be patient.

Hi ! So, the bad news is that Transfagarasan is still closed for now, but it should be opened in the next two weeks. You can check the live cam from time to time: https://www.roxy-world.ro/webcam-transfagarasan Good news is that Transalpina was opened about 5 days ago, some of my friends went there already and confirmed this. Enjoy Romania !
