Hey you, I can only fully confirm it, if you have understood the app and know the wonderful functions of the app, it is completely relaxed to navigate with it. In operation with me, with an iPhone Xr and a wonderful BT keyboard from Remotek One. With this, WP can be easily skipped via DC as well as zooming +/- the map easy to operate. Thank you for the wonderful MRA app that makes navigating so pleasant.

@Peter-kinver, depends, if you just want a visual overview on a map, you can add tracklogs to an empty route. Create a new route, in the left column menu click tracklogs.

@Francescoinviaggio.it When you stop navigating and you see this screen, the app is paused. You can even swipe up and close the app. You will see this screen again when you reopen the app, tap the yellow Navigate button to continue navigation. @Con-Hennekens I tested it while driving in the car... It is indeed as you say, that there are probably no instructions at the beginning of the route, which is why nothing can be heard when you tap on the icon. However, while driving, you can then produce the instructions, even repeatedly.

Simple, tap the menu three dots at the bottom of the screen, tap Add stop. Search for your required waypoint. Alternate is to display the area that contains where the waypoint is to be added and simply long press on the map.

I always use only navigation with downloaded maps and just let MRA do its thing! I did a 7 day trip and used less than 1GB of data for the whole of that month! This includes using that phone to do google searches etc. I use a spare phone and sim so easy to keep track of what is being used. If you want truly offline then you need to change the settings.

I agree with @RonP. Having a way to see the violations in the app without having to zoom in on the entire route would be very useful. You can get violations when navigating as a track, because the track might not be ridable anymore (because of e.g. newly closed roads).

@Marinus-van-Deudekom said in Route or Tracklog: I don’t where you got your statements of how p use MRA. I didn't say MRA in particular. Just how they use navigation device in general on holidays It is from the many different people i met every year on my motorcycle trips. Many people use a navigation device nowadays. But not many plan their own routes. There are still even people who just ride in a (small) group without a navigation device. They just rely on other people. Some people feel they are forced to use a navigition device because this is nowadays nearly the only method how routes are distributed. Here in Europe there are fuel stations enough. In my 10-15 years of travel with a motorcycle, i had 2 times where my tank was almost empty. But this was with a sportier bike with a range of 190 kilometres till reserve kicks in and was in my early days of traveling. This was good for my learningcurve. TomTom Go shows me the fuel stations for the next 50 kilometres along the route. That are the bigger ones. The smaller fuelstations are popping up at around 10-15 kilometers riding. 50 kilometres is roughly 45-60 min riding. There are moments where TomTom doesn't show me any gas station at all. But those moments are very rare.

Wow people, how disappointing. Why are you all so easily annoyed? I am absolutely detested by the fact that of some people here I expect more as respected community members. Part of being a respected community member is also sometimes to just let things be. First of all - this thread is not at all answering the initial question. The simple answer "HERE" is correct - done. Then regarding the different mapping engines. Both HERE and TomTom are paid services and we do not influence their routing in any way apart from the options that we expose in the toolkit. These services provide excellent routes with no errors (apart from possible access rules, time restrictions, seasonal closures etc that all come from missing data that can be reported using their tools). OpenStreetMap is an open source map data platform. Using this data people can create their own routes but that is not OpenStreetMap. That is done with GraphHopper, yet another piece op open sourced software (or some other routing platform but this one is most popular). We, MRA, have our own implementation of this GraphHopper engine with the latest version of OpenStreetMap loaded into it. As this is our own server with some custom algorithms we are responsible of some of the routing. Basic routing errors can be caused by map data mistakes (OpenStreetMap) but more likely it's because we actually have a mistake in our server. @Adrian-Avram you are completely right this is an issue on our side and I've asked the person responsible to investigate it and fix it. Feel free to contact me personally for further discussion but I will lock this thread.

@Brian-McG said in Was sind Saisonale Schliessungen? - What are seasonal closures?: add a switch to enable "Ignore Road Work Closures" Since I have already experienced several blockages in the Here map (but the blockage had already been lifted), but the map material had not yet been updated, I agree with this 100%.
