@michael-4u I think it's an issue with the TomTom map data or algorithm and not specifically with MRA. I've created the first part of the route using TomTom MyDrive itself and it takes the same route if I set it to anything other than Fastest (i.e. any of the "Thrill" hilliness and curviness settings in TomTom MyDrive.

I also tried setting it to avoid Unpaved roads and nothing changed.
@corjan-meijerink said in MyRoute-app Mobile drains battery:
I will however see if there is anything we can change. Out of curiosity: if you use Google maps with your screen on in the same way you use the Mobile app, is battery drain the same?
Today I used the Samsung Android. Batterydrain is less then the iPhone. Probably due to the slightly older battery from the iPhone!
Also navigated with Google maps (who still want to use Google maps after the launch of the new app...) shows a slightly bigger batterydrain on Samsung and iPhone.
So if there is some improvement to get in the code, then that would be appriciated. For now I'll start looking for a big powerbank to hook on the iPhone while navigating!
I'd also find this helpful. In Basecamp you can create a folder with a number of routes for a tour and see them all displayed on the map in one go. This would be great to have a similar feature in MRA if this could be considered in the future?
Hi Dave,
This has been a recurring suggestion, for now (as others have pointed out) there's no way we can implement this as our online routeplanner is a web-app.
We're aware of this issue though. As our US userbase grows (I'm making the quick assumption that you're an American, as this seems to be a very prevalent question among our US users) we're looking into solutions.
kind regards,
Timo
@bouke-ent said in How do i transfer route from the MRA planner to MRA navigation:
... before you go always make small change and route will be up in list.
Indeed, and clicking "Edit" (the pencil) and then "Save" without actually changing anything, suffices.

Google Maps is only an overlay, not a map used for calculating the route. If you select OpenStreetMap as the Map (used for calculation), you can still use the Google Maps overlay.
Thanks - I get it.
@corjan-meijerink ik heb de optie gevonden! Super.
@stefanhummelink That's partially true. The last app update proved that a huge portion of people only know 'us' from the mobile app.
In fact, I now finally understand why people insist on calling it "The MyRoute-app". Might as well be that a large group of people is accessing this very forum through the mobile app and not on their PC or laptop.
If a new member is onboarded as you say, through the website and then to the apps, then that's indeed the 'happy flow'.
Thank you all, please do keep us posted on any changes or issues you're having (preferably through the main post, as that's easier to keep an eye on rather than foraging through the forums )
We're aiming for further improvement of download and share-with-other-apps connectivity in the short term.
Hi all, I've added a new post under "announcements". Long story short; we're adding this functionality better than before and the update should be available shortly.
@mylle BMW NAV VI only supports gpx file format 1.1 to get waypoints, so be sure to export or in this case "save as..." as the export tool last time I checked only allowed gpx 1.2.
Then when you have moved the file from PC to the navigator you import the track and then manually edit the soft blue waypoints you want into hard waypoints (orange flags).
(open travel planner, route, and change destinations, click on blue dots to change into orange flags)
@brian-martin I had this same problem this morning. I found a workaround by using the web browser on my phone to go to the MyRoute website, then use the 'page menu' as before.
