If you both have an MRA account, you can add the other person as a friend. If he does the same, you won’t need to share a link or anything — you’ll be able to view each other’s route files directly.

Hi All, Thnx all for the feedback. As I am new to MRA and the forum, I was waiting for the admin to approve the post :0). Then, I found all of your responses :0)). Sorry for that. If I use it as you suggested, "Use this Route", which format it will be. Will be able to see it on Zumo XT as is or modified through the phone. Thank you again. Best regards, Ibrahim

I think I can explain, because it bothers me too. If you create an blog and make it public, this doesn't work any longer! No one is able to find this blog! Since the new SW for the forum is in place, the old blog can't be reached any longer for other readers. But the new forum has the new category: "Travel stories". Only this category can be reached by other readers. Unfortunatelly, this new category "Travel stories" doesn't have the same functionality as the old section "Blog"! I can imagine - users, which are riding just Sunday afternoon - will/can write nice interesting stories. But longterm traveler like me will/can write a lot. And it's great to find everything you need for a long journey in one and the same app! This will may be also helpful for others, which intend to travel to the same region, and are going to gather more information. The section "Blog" is very important, because it's one of the USP (unique selling point) of the app. There are a lot other route planning apps on the market (which don'thave this). I fear, if MyRoute-App Team will reduce functionalities of the App, potential users may go away and purchase another app.

My current solution to avoiding friends having to register it to share my global map. From there, users can find routes and download them. Example given here: https://taarhaug.blogspot.com/2025/08/testing-embed-from-myrouteapp.html Thor

Android Auto definitely has limited impact on our resources Yes, we sometimes fix stuff but that is no different than maintenance on the core app / CarPlay. After a very consistent update interval it has indeed slowed down slightly. That's because we are preparing a major overhaul of the app and summer is a poor time to release updates as people then use the app most

@ptrdvrs indeed, there are 2 missing features: if you select a POI out of MRA internal POI-List - and insert it to your route in first step, just only as POI at this point, you have 2 options: insert as POI and /or insert as route point or if you create your own POI in the route at this point, you have only 1 option: insert as POI there is later one no way, to tap it again in the map, to make it additionally as route point @Corjan-Meijerink ...may could you please improve this inadequacy?

@Guzt said in Keeping routes from my route app identical with my GARMIN ZUMO XT2: You probably use the Tread app to synchronise your routes. If you do, they will always be different as the Tread app recalculates your route. Save your route gpx 1.1 directly on the SD in the XT2 and import it using the app. Hi Guzt, Thanx mate, but I don't use tread at all. I just export it from myrouteapp as gpx 1.1 to my Garmin XT2, I installed an app that MacBook sees my Garmin as an android device, so in Garmin xt2 file gpx I drop them there and they are automatically stored.

The only way I can get my Nav6 to follow the planned route is to only use via points, if I use way points it always tries to deviate from the set route.

Yes it helps. Last year I drove 5.000km mainly in France and it guided me well. It helped me, not riding my roof off, under a lower bridge
  • How to Keep Routes Consistent When Exporting to Garmin Zumo XT?

I got tired of playing with 1.1/1.2 and resorted to exporting to XT using GPX 1.0. Seems to keep the fidelity of the route I planned and includes all of the waypoints and viapoints where I put them. I keep the XT around as my 'belt and suspenders' approach. If my phone pukes, I have a dedicated satnav to fall back on. Just as long as I don't have to open Basecamp.

Ja. Mapsource kan als .GPx bestand wegschrijven. Dat is dus geen probleem. [image: 1752688990436-screenshot-001.jpg] Daarna gewoon importeren in MRA en eventueel bewerken. En zo ziet het er na importeren uit: [image: 1752689189178-screenshot-002.jpg]

@David-Kelly, Like other already said, it is easier solved by just starting your navigation from the routes menu. It is a bit strange to start routes from a GPX when you already have them in your app.
