I have had it on occasions but put it down to my phone just not knowing which way it is pointing at that time

There's been some discussion about this, and I've had some too, about the arrival data, mileage, etc., as well as the compass... with a CarPlay as large as the Garmin Zumo's screen, the data is very readable on the Zumo, but the same can't be said for the MRA, not to mention the altitude, which is really tiny... but I don't know if they'll address that... but honestly, I hope so, because it's not something you should ignore... at least I hope so...

Ik had duidelijker moeten zijn. Vergelijkbaar is zeker niet alle rechten van Silver maar wel meer dan basic. BV geen Max aantal routes

I will keep it for the moment. Maybe there will be some updates and in future it will work. Try out Samsung Active 3 which I still have and test it. Thanks for your tips and feedback.

With the latest beta update (version 4.1.0. (272) I encounter several problems: in Apple CarPlay the program does not update the card in Apple Carplay the program does not update the navigation instructions in Apple CarPlay the map is not alway shown after using Apple CarPlay, the MRA app crashes Hopefully this is fixed in the next beta update. Keep up the good work!

@Corjan-Meijerink Thank you and all the team for the hard work put into the new app. I think it has been good (and really quite interesting) to read the problems people have found and MyRoute’s responses to them in a public forum. The updates are clear and always informative, as is the help given to people (including myself) who have simply misunderstood something about the way the app works. All the best, Richard

@Rob-Verhoeff i got two on my KTM. One less than a day after i bought it, one in the rain somewhere in France in the mountains. And the repair set could not repair it I spent all the cartridges and luckily reached a garage 5 minutes before it closed.

I was out again today using Android Auto and this time I completed my route without the phone overheating. It was just a degree or two F cooler than last time when my phone shut down. But this time, I changed the USB charging port I was using to one that was limited to 2 amps instead of using a fast-charging port. Along with keeping the phone display off, this was enough to keep my Pixel 6 Pro charged - in fact, it actually gained a little charge during the trip. The phone was still warm, but not nearly as hot as it was when I used the fast-charging port. So, one suggestion for fellow riders who are having an overheating issue is to avoid using a fast-charging port. Kind of obvious, I know, but it did not occur to me before today. Vinnie

Vergiss das mit dem einen Shaping-Punkt. In den 12 Tagen Seealpen habe ich in den letzten Tagen täglich das gleiche Phänomen gesehen – allerdings erst, nachdem ich „Route als Track“ deaktiviert hatte. Also nur 7 Tage oder 8 weiss nimmer.. Ob da nun Shapings gesetzt waren oder nicht, kann ich heute nicht mehr sagen. Fakt ist: Die Mobile App hält sich nicht sauber an die Planung bzw. an Shaping-Punkte. Vermutlich wurde genau deshalb das „Route als Track“-Feature eingeführt – was aber leider andere Schwächen mitbringt. Kein Drama, aber sowas sollte einfach behoben werden. Sonst macht’s halt irgendwann jemand besser. Software-Loyalität hält nur so lange, bis es eine bessere Lösung gibt. CP und AA holen auf – zu Recht. Was im Auto längst gut funktioniert, erwarten Motorradfahrer inzwischen auch. Damit sind die Hersteller das leidige Thema Navigation und Multimedia langfristig auch los. Auch die Routing Dienste werden besser. „Azure“ hat das offenbar erkannt und bietet als erster Routing-Dienst eine dedizierte Motorradberechnung an. Erste Tests: ziemlich gut. Ich nutze in meinen Dienstwagen schon lange ausschließlich AA. Ob mein neuer überhaupt noch ein klassisches Radio hat, weiß ich nicht mal. Mir ist eine saubere Integration ins Fahrzeug wichtig – BMW hat das mit dem Lenkrad-Wheel perfekt gelöst. Aber das ist ein anderes Thema. Hier geht’s mir einzig darum, dass MRA sauber funktioniert. Mag sein, dass Du und auch andere das anders sehen – für mich ist das Ziel jedenfalls noch nicht erreicht. Dein DMD ist mir schon aufgefallen. Hätte ich keine BMW.. wäre ich geneigt das Ding zu nutzen. Dann allerdings zu 100% mit einem Marktbegleiter als Planer.

I created a small route today with Via and shaping points, everything worked well, it showed altitude and fuel stations along the route, this was on AA and in the car I have not used it yet on the bike but first impressions, its fantastic

Ik ben net terug van een 4 weken vakantie UK (Wales en lake District). Ik heb al mijn zelfgemaakte routes, die hoofdzakelijk over de smalste wegen gaan, met de auto perfect kunnen rijden. Routepunten moeten soms handmatig worden overgeslagen door wegafzettingen etc, maar dat gaat eigenlijk feilloos. Ik heb al de mooie passen in Wales en lake Districht gereden (o.a Honnister Pass, Wrynose Pass, Kirkstone Pass, Hardknott Pass etc). De combinatie Iphone 14+,IOS 26.5, Apple Carplay Ford Puma icm wireles adapter Carlikit 2 air en tevens een hele goedkope Ali adapter werkten gewoonweg feilloos. De Online en daarnaast in enkele gevallen ook de Offline mode gebruikt. Ik heb geen issues kunnen ontdekken. Dus complimenten voor MRA!

So I've done the permanent install. Wired the power supply into the bikes switched accessories power via this kit... Electrical Connection Update Kit Routed harness to the right side of the bike and installed the power supply there... The Chargie manages battery charging and temperature. AFAIK there are generally two ways to get this kind of control... Software which requires rooting the phone and this hardware approach. The Chargie works pretty well for this task. Overall I'm pretty pleased with this setup. The phone (battery/heat/cold/elements) won't get stressed and the CP/AA display works great. I've tried an intercom system with it. Everything pairs and works as expected. As discussed before.. Some had mentioned that they don't like that the display unit doesn't have an internal battery to prevent power cycles/reboots when you start the bike etc. This has absolutely not been a problem. The display unit powers up and reconnects to everything within 30 seconds. If you had a Nav session going before shutdown (say stopping for gas), the route/navigation session is still there when the system reboots and reconnects. The only nit that I've found so far is that the BINIZE unit's firmware version doesn't yet have the Android Auto volume controls. Other "brands" have already provided the firmware update for that. Right now I'm using my iPhone, so it's not a problem. But sooner or later, I'll want to update the firmware.

@Kudee The TET routes are generally a mix of routable roads and off-road tracks. I.e. Linking off-road tracks together via routable roads. I have no experience with OSMand so can’t comment on that. The TET tracks are freely available so in theory you could import them into OSMand and see what you get. The Garmin XT can handle off-road tracks but the Here maps can’t as far as I know.
