@Vosje You're right... It's just the other way around Red: start recording Green: opens the menu where you decide to safe or disgard the track.

@Büeler Hello friends thank you for your tips. Now, i create the same route with the Harley Rout Planer, and save it as GPX-File to the Boom Box. I drive the route befor i go with maybee 15 Bikers behind me, because it is not nice to return every 5 minutes... And i habe updated the Systemsoftware and the Map of Europe. Let me see what's going on. Thanks Werni

@John-4a I think you're confused. In the previous app (the app Navigation), you also couldn't insert extra waypoints in an A-B route. However, you can create a route with the mobile app by using the web version (Routelab). In Routelab, you can create a route from point A to point B and add your own waypoints.

@Nick-Carthew said in Kronkelroutes zonde van benzine: but better than that, you could create your own twisty route, it really is easy using the best route planning tool available MyRoute-app RoutePlanner. Now this a comment to my heart. auto generated routes seem only valuable in the unlikely event that you did not have time top prepare one yourself

@René-en-Charissa-Bol misschien de route eens delen hier? Er valt zo weinig over te zeggen.

You need a micro USB to usb-c cable to connect the phone to the nav 6. As far as I know there is no wireless method. Connect the two devices then wait a while. Open "My files". The nav 6 should show as "Usb storage" or "usb storage 1". Below that is a sub directory called "Gpx". Export your route to a gpx file from mra. That should end up in "downloads". You now need to copy that file to the gpx folder then restart nav 6. The whole process is a bit tortuous. (I now use the bmw cradle - much easier) I tried the above with a nav 5 and S10 and it worked. Nav 6 isn't much different. (I used to have a nav 6). Hope that helps

@Jurassic-Mike said in Is Gold star essential: I have been trying MRA for just over a week now. I have the Navigation sub. but only the basic Route planning as yet. Don't give up yet I have had nothing but problems and still can't get the navigation working properly. Such things as; No voice prompts, even though they are on in settings. I think you need to adjust the volume. This can done in the navigation settings, sounds, adjust volume while switching between medium and high. Map location not moving on the displayed map, using Android phone. You may have moved the map, tap the compass to reset track position and following. Totally wrong directions, even to turn into roads that do not exist where the current location is. I suspect you have waypoints that are off the route. Use the magnifying glass to zoom in on waypoints and move them into the route. Map detail on the default sub. not detailed enough. What detail is missing? It all seems over complicated to me so I have a basic question to ask. Have you watched any of the training videos or reviewed the MyRoute-app documents? Is it essential to purchase the GOLD membership for it all to work correctly? NO I have never had these sort of issues with other apps that I have been using. I am considering reverting to a previous one if this can't be resolved quickly. MRA is a comprehensive system. It requires time to learn. Good luck. It really is a great system for both route planning and navigation.

hi @Chris-Gossop when I import from MRA the route and track get imported, but sometimes the route gets changed slightly by XT because it believes it knows a quicker/faster way between shaping/via points and its not always noticeable unless you always show the track and you can then compare and make adjustments as necesasary two examples below I planned a route on MRA and imported it, you can see in the top photo that XT had changed it. The black line is the track which never gets changed on import. first time I imported [image: 1689795726226-img_0420.jpeg] I then edited by adding more via points then imported again and it matched the original [image: 1689795769545-img_0421.jpeg] you can then see it matches my original route perfectly as it lies on top of the track.

@Con-Hennekens that really is not necessary…. It is evident there is still an issue and it is under investigation. @Doug-Robinson it has been solved for the majority at release after quite intensive research by us. However, there are people that still experience issues and we are looking into the matter. But as we did factually solve it for the majority by actually changing the implementation of some code. The issue has become quite a bit more complicated as we cannot easily reproduce it. Sorry for any inconvenience still experienced.

@Con-Hennekens I am having the same problem, as well as a lot of others. I have checked and MyRoute App is listed as having access to my location in my browser. Did you find out how to default it to your location?

First question what did you use. The Route or a Track. In TomTom drive you can identify the Track to the word "Exact" [image: 1689694356554-screenshot-2023-07-18-17.29.17.png] The track in TomTom Mydrive is exact to the route in MRA. Because it is only projected, no calculation is done. In TomTom Mydrive you can identify a route to a word like "Fast", "Short" [image: 1689694412761-screenshot-2023-07-18-17.31.26.png] When you use a route in the TomTom Rider, it is likely the route will be altered. Because the Rider calculates the route between visible points (waypoints) When you imported the track in the Rider, this track is recalulated to the map of your Rider. It will be a route with many charactheristcs of a track. This recalculation can cause deviations. If you created the route in MRA on the TomTom map. No deviations of extreme little can be expected. But if you made the route on Openstreetmap or other map. It will change everything. Why? The roads of the different maps are not on exactly the same GPS coordinates (they are not calibrated the same). A track is just a bunch of GPS coordinates nothing more. Because of these calibration differences, it is possible one or more trackpoints are not on the main road but in a side street. This causes the deviations you see.

Groet Marcel
