    Edwin_M did some testing:

    I did some additional testing and I must say that I am dissapointed in the performance of the Quadlock Wireless Charger (with USB connection). It is a very expensive accessory and it is advertised to reach up to 10W with Galaxy devices. (using a good power supply ofcourse).
    And yes the power drain of the MRA next app is still on the high side.

    In short , the wireless charger does not exceed 6W of power supply in my tests.

    Phone is an S24+ .
    Case is a Quadlock Mag Case
    I have the USB connection version of the Wireless charging head. combined with the Motorcycle - Waterproof 12V To USB Smart Adaptor - Quad Lock® Europe - Official Store (quadlockcase.eu)

    I did some testing:

    Checked on phone: Turned of battery protection and checked all battery fast charging options are on. Used an additional quality USB-A to USB-C cable to test (otherwise I'll need to get a lot of covers of of my motorcycle) all fast charge options are enabled
    Without Quadlock: tested directly on the a charger : outcomes: On an USB-A output max 2,4A => 7 W charging second USB-A output with a QC3.0 => 12,5 W.
    3, Quadlock hardware test: used the same cable wired directly on the 12V Quadlock convertor => 12 W
    Quadlock hardware test: used the same cable from the 12V quadlock convertor to the wireless head = 6W
    Quadlock wireless charging head connected to wall charger (as in bullet 2): 1. on QC3.0 port => 6W max via charging head second on normal port max 2,4A resulting in 3,4W max via charging head
    response of Quadlock on results:
    *Our wireless charging head has advertising on our product page to charge at a maximum of 10W, as yours is charging at 5W it still sitting with the expected performance.

    Just to note that you will always have a faster charging speed using a cable as this is not surprising because we can't expect the wireless charge to perform the same.*

    The latter is obvious. But losing 6W over the wireless charging head is dissapointing to say the least.
    (i found that , with a 100 km roundtour, first edit in Routeplanner online) using it as a route from that to navigate with and using Dark mode, the phone was able to charge. In light mode , the drain is too big at the moment.
    Also must state that I am always using Flitsmeister AND youtube music in background as well;

    @Doug-Robinson the way I see it
    MRA still uses to mich power. Combined with thé wireless charging head it is Just simply to mich. So thé phone can’t keep up charging.
    Solution fix thé power comcumption caused by Here. I know that Corjan is trying to fix thuis with Garmin but with poor succès.
    Maybe thé solution is finding another card then thé Here. I think Garmin is doing a simple case off protecting it’s own product and have llitle or no interest in MRA, on thé other hand MRA is paying for thé use of Here and therefore must receive a good product.
    Keep up the good work @corjanmeijrink

      I decided to move this discussion to a new post.
      Due to the excessive power usage of the app, some people are unable to charge fast enough to maintain the battery level. On hot days the phone can overheat and shut down. I just installed the Quadlock 15 watt wireless charger. I found it only charges at about 6 w (about 1.4 amps at 4.? Volts). When I plugged my phone into a good wall charger it charged at 12.4 watts and the phone said it was fast charging. I don't have any other wireless chargers so I don't know if this is common or a problem with the phone or the wireless charger. I was using Accubattery to monitor the battery usage and charging rate. Does anyone else have wireless chargers? What charging levels do you get?

      This is what I found about the HereWeGo app, uses the same map.

      Will using GPS reduce my phone's battery life?
      HERE WeGo uses GPS to work and your phone might deplete more of your battery while you're actively navigating. (This is quite common with apps that depend on your phone settings.) If you feel that our app consumes too much of your battery life, we'd recommend that you check your phone's battery settings and adapt it according to your usage.

        Hi, I can report that my Oukitel outdoor tablet with 8inch screen runing in full brightness can load the battery normal after changing the USB converter and the USB cable. Before I run also into an empty battery after some hours.
        I guess the bottleneck was more the cable.

              Just wanted to add my half penny to this discussion. There are a lot of angry comments about this issue. However, I don't think it's that easy and straightforward. I have been out today for a 6.5 hour tour (including a couple of coffee breaks) and did 130 miles (210 km) using MRA for navigation and tracking simultaneously. I started with 80% charge and arrived back home with 19% - no charger used during the ride. I don't listen to music or play games while riding. I'm using a Pixel 8.
              So far I didn't had any issues with MRA and heavy discharging. A problem could well be the phone setup and/or issues with other apps running in the background.
              This post is probably not helpful to anyone but it's just for the records.

              Moto Guzzi V85 TT. MRA on my Pixel 8 (Android 15) and occasionally a TomTom Rider.

                  @Jörgen, That app is rather nice, giving continuous information of battery and charging without interfering with the foreground app. However I removed it since it demands full-phone access to everything. Not something I am eager to give away...
