Is there a way to capture the time zone changes while making a map? When I'm traveling in the direction where I gain an hour due to time zone change it's easy to just add a hour with insert pause but going in the other direction it will not accept a negative number.

Go to your account, right upper corner, there you can set your timezone

@hans-van-de-ven-mra-master Thanks I have that, what I'm talking about is when you are planning a trip going through several different time zones. I was wanting to account for gaining or loosing hours on those days where the time change occurs.

I'm not sure it makes sense to put this into your route. Durations do not have timezones. What MRA shows is how long the trip is expected to take, this does not change due to time zone differences, it will still take x hours to get from A to B, wether you cross 0, 1 or 10 time zone boundaries. The fact that your watch should be adjusted when crossing into a different time zone, doesn't influence the duration of the trip.

Don't you think the poster has his reason to ask this ? I think he is better placed to judge how much sense this makes according to his way of working (he wouldn't have asked his question otherwise, would he). On the other hand, just saying : if you take the ferry from the continent to the UK, the duration stays the same too, regardless of the timezone you cross. Yet, the ferry operator times are mentioned in local times. If it's not possible in MRA, it's not possible, so be it. But then again, I wouldn't make too much assumptions in his place...

@glen-heron The short answer to your question is no, there isn’t an option for time zones. I agree with @Herko-ter-Horst adding an hour in a pause break will just adjust the calculated journey time.

                  Only in one direction.

And this is only a hack, not a solution.

I find it a good question, don't understand why it received negatively

It is not difficult, it is easy, it's a hobby
