@M-Schrijver In heb een SIM kaart in de BMW CRN, kost mij nu 2,50 euro per maand via KPN, was een aanbieding normale kosten 5 euro, en krijg 2 Gig data. Deze 2 Gig is ruim voldoende om een maand lang te navigeren. Mocht ik te kort komen dan stort ik via delen flink wat bij, wat gewoon gebruikt kan worden bij roaming. Laatst zo'n 150 Gig er door heen gejaagd vanwege een ander doel. Die SIM is dus ideaal vooral als je gebruikt wil maken van A-B navigatie met verkeersinformatie elk ander doel van je navigatie waar on-line info handig is De data honger ligt veel lager dan bij MRA. Wat nu wel handig is bij de BMW CRN, volgens mij bij een van de laatste software releases toegevoegd, is dat je via USB-C routes nu rechtstreeks in de CRN kan plaatsen scheelt gepruts en omzetten in de app. DE CRN is ook erg handig in gebieden waar GPS ontvangst gebrekkig is omdat de antenne en het ontvangst veel beter is dan een telefoon, scheelt een hoop ongewenst gespring naar wegen waar je niet rijdt. De CRN is verre van ideaal maar beter en sneller dan het gedrocht BMW Garmin, waar ik de versie VI versie 2 van heb. De snelheid is vooral handig als je een lange routes rijdt waar een herberekening plaats vind, bij de Garmin kan je gaan koffie drinken bij de CRN vrijwel direct een herberekening.

@Tony-13, can you re-download the file as a GPX file? I find that much more compatible than anything.

@Rob-Veerman I will agree. I was having the same problem. Searching for some useful guidance and came to the conclusion you describe here. It is a limitation of the map source in the device.

@Peter-van-der-Weij if you send the route via Tread, it needs to be GPX 1.1. Tread does not perform well with 1.2 as you have seen. Use plenty of shaping points.

@white-mouse Hmm... naar mijn eigen mening heb jij jouw Firefox echt als een kerstboom opgetuigd! 9 van 10 extensies zou ik zo overboord kieperen als je het mij vraagt... Maar..... Ik zie NoScript tussen staan die je uitgeschakeld hebt, denk persoonlijk dat dat de boosdoener is geweest! Kwestie van ff aanzetten en testen. Daarnaast een hoop extensies die tegen social media werken/zijn, en dese forum exact onder (.....)

dank voor de reacties. En logisch ook, is natuurlijk een online verhaal. Ik verplaats nu dan gewoon naar iCloud en dan kan ik het daar weer oppikken met mijn telefoon.

@Lex-Haverkamp Aangezien alle routes op de server van MRA worden opgeslagen lijkt mij dat een server dingetje? Ik kan je bevindingen niet reproduceren overigens.

@Peter-Zehentreiter same here that is I rarely use the TomTom card and its possibility to plan a bizar curvy route After that I make shure its converted to the Here card for navigation

@franz-7 Same here… was out for a ride today, me on the Zumo XT2 which was spot on for a change!!! My mate on AA on the Carpuride through his Samsung mobile, was working flawlessly then we stopped for lunch… oh dear!!! Should never of bothered from there all the way home it was error after error , frozen maps, removing the app and reinstalling it, wanting to go back to the start… this I cannot get my head around if connected to a mobile phone just carry on with the guidance from the phones location unless I’m missing something?? And yes everything up to date, HERE maps used etc etc Very very frustrating as we’re both pretty good with all things tech wise! We could not get the navigation to resume (in the right direction) whatever we did. Andy.

@Con-Hennekens Although it is not said that mine is correct... I always prefer to have a backup, that's why I have the BMW Connected app as well in case of an emergency. But there is also the saying, many roads lead to Rom.
