How long before an edit appears in a map update I have no idea, I would not expect it for many months or longer

@Corjan-Meijerink Just a thought : Chinese android head units are becoming increasingly popular. Witness to that the huge amount of YouTube channels covering this. I also jumped the bandwagon and wouldn't want to return to A-brand devices anymore or to a dedicated nav-device (I have a garmin camper gathering dust and a zenec too). Unfortunately, these chinese brands tend to mess a bit with the underlying android to make it automotive suitable and occasionally this results in quirks. Like for example the large position indicator. Must have something to do with the screen dpi I think. Now as for my thought : if you are not already doing so, perhaps you could do some basic testing on such units. The position indicator scaling mechanism can likely be made smarter so that these units are served better by the app. I'm by the way quite happy I bought the lifetime gold. I see the potential of this app becoming a reference suite for the purpose of planning and navigation and I especially like the development dynamics. Please do take this as a compliment.

@Corjan-Meijerink I think it would make sense to test with a more frequent check interval. Another thing that @Con-Hennekens mentions is the obscuring dialog. Maybe that can be made more discrete with an icon or so flashing instead of with a dialog that needs confirmation. Same applies to the liability message that I mentioned in a different post. That one is also a modal dialog that appears on every start of navigation which is crazy annoying (to me at least ). I any case, thanks for checking the possibilities!

@iahmed-Adventurer yeah, this annoys me too. Unfortunately it’s completely because of incorrect map data. We cannot do anything about it

@CD130 that’s a contractual reason, working in it Same why only Gold users also cannot use the in-app planner.

@Cookie-On-Tour That circle is the "track recording" icon! If it is red, you are not tracking your route, if it is green, it is tracking your route. Upon saving the track you get a tracklog in your account. In the settings you'll find the option to Auto-Start a track when navigating a route. There is no Auto-Stop.

@Con-Hennekens No problems! It was a good question and I had to figure it out myself what it meant!

@Lowi64 Yeah, there are really loads of options. Is CarPlay controlling the volume, like in your case Is the CarPlay device paired to the headset additionally to the phone Is the phone directly paired to the headset Or like with my chigee, CarPlay is only for visuals and phone controls volume. The system settings helped in my case. And also fixed the sound issues I had with Garmin Connect and my Forerunner watch, I even think that was the culprit changing my default voices to something absurd and quiet.

Misschien een idee voor de ontwikkelaars (heb geen idee of het realistisch is natuurlijk): De gehele route opmaken en opdelen in segmenten: Een segement/stuk over de weg, gemaakt in de HERE kaart en dus met navigatie-instructies. Een stuk over onverharde paden, gemaakt in bijvoorbeeld de OSM kaart (ook de TT kaart doet het vaak prima). Vanwege de beperking rondom het gebruik van Flutter helaas zonder navigatie-instructies. Daarna weer een deel/segment over de weg, gemaakt in de HERE kaart en dus met navigatie-instructies. Nu doe ik bovenstaande ook..., alleen maak ik daar 3 losse routes van. Het zou mooi zijn als dat gewoon 1x kan geworden gestart vanaf het startpunt. Voordeel is ook dat het gebruikt kan worden bij die ellendige veerpond oversteken die regelmatig voorbij komen op het forum. Fantastisch is het dan nog niet natuurlijk, maar wel veel beter dan nu
