@Carl-Lee Completely agree. I've found after much consultation from our route experts that for the Zumo XT 1.1 just seems to work better.

@Roundabout That setting is most useful for a round tour (i.e. start and end point are the same/close together. In that case you can select a new start point, while keeping the rest of route intact. What it does is set the selected waypoint as the first waypoint, set the previous waypoint as the last waypoint and connect the original last waypoint to the original first waypoint. For example: Original [image: 1740399597404-screenshot-2025-02-24-at-13.19.18.png] After selecting point 4 above and setting it to be the start point: [image: 1740399635323-screenshot-2025-02-24-at-13.19.40.png] It can be used with any route (doesn't have to be a round tour), but it's less likely to give a useful result when the original start and end are not close together.

I only put waypoints or shaping points on a map for one of two reasons: There is something specific in that location I want to note; I want to force the navigation device to follow a specific route; In the first instance the waypoint location is fixed by whatever it is that I am identifying. Before or after the junction is not my choice. In the secomd instance it has to be after the junction or I risk the navigation device deciding on a different route to the one I want. As I see it, the navigation device/app will give me navigation instructions. That's not the job of route planning.

@Craig-4 first of all, your friend needs to open an account on MRA. Only after his registration you will be able to find him using his email address or his name.

@Roundabout, You can save and upload images indeed. PDF's are not considered to be pictures but documents instead, and that is not allowed. Do you know you can simply screenshot images and paste them into a message (on a Windows PC with browser anyway)? Saves you the saving part

@Roundabout, I have no solution for you, but I am amazed about the suddenly increase in interest for the PDF download I have seen more than a few topics about it. I think, having the map on top or not, is dependent on the map that is used for planning the route, but I am not sure.

@Johnny-V-Rodgers This Route was from 2019 and I now use the colour scheme from the RouteXperts. Blue - Just used for shaping the route. Yellow - From the exact position of the route point, something can be seen, a castle on a hill, a waterfall on the right or a significant mountain on the horizon. Information for all coloured route points is added in the note. Green - A place for a photo stop Red - All other stops, fuel, coffee, lunch or to visit an attraction, route point icon used for quick recognition. Pink - Used in conjunction with the warning icon to give warnings, could be for bad road surface, unprotected road edgings with drop off. Pink is also used for general route information, this could be to indicate a possible shortcut, or to give information about the area or town that you’re about to pass through. All this information can be displayed on screen as scrolling text or read aloud to you when using MRA Navigation Next. A complete game changer in my opinion.

Thank you, @Hans-van-de-Ven-MR-MRA. I only have the Basic subscription for now so am unable to create a support ticket. However, I am also discussing this on the Zumo Users Forum. Many of the experienced Zumo users are also very familiar with MRA.

@Con-Hennekens If you do it as Nick did, then you only need to add the POIs of the Hotels, B&B to make visible what you have driven per day. Every user will choose his own Hotel, B&B, Tent. In the example, the stops we made during the round trip on Skye. And you can also have these printed on a t-shirt [image: 1739438155250-d5168c0c-8fed-4b0f-a9f6-6ef645d5122d-image.png]

@Arno-0 Thanks for that. I think I'll stick to the first route, as we don't want to do too much driving. Were based just north of Alphen aan den Rijn, ( Yes, sadly in a car, not on my bike ) Maybe a route for next time though.

@Wallace-Shackleton, I don't know what kind of POI this is about, but I looking at ANY POI you imported, it would have made clear quickly that it was placed on an unintended location. That being said, I also have made this "mistake" in the past and why MRA places LON before LAT while no-one else does, is beyond me too

Toedeloe

@Harv-0 when you are navigating the app will prevent the phone from sleeping. If it does, some setting was changed on your phone (not the app)
