Route unexpectedly on toll roads

That’s a bit disconcerting, is there a published list of features not supported by the bike profile?

@Rajp In general this avoid toll roads option does work with motorcycle profile, I have never had any problem with it. Maybe there is some problem with this info on the map.

@Rajp that’s why I never use the bike profile. As far as I’M Concerned the little advantages of using the bike profile do not add up for the things that are not possible. That by the way is choice of Here not by MRA. So for ME it has little or no use and I’m staying with the car profile.
As a RouteXpert for us it’s mandatory so everyone can use our routes

I thought once a route was created you could not change its profile?
I have a lot of "motorcycle" routes and would prefer to change dome of them to "car"

Only thing is that there is no "shortest route" optimization for the motorbike profile. Can it be that the toll on that road is not applicable to motorbikes? or at least HERE THINKS it is? I cannot find that location in your route, so I cannot check. You could place a waypoint just before when this happens and tell us its number.

@Con-Hennekens I've added shaping point 2, just after this you can see the route (black line) switching lanes to the express lane - and it's not free for motorcycles

@Con-Hennekens Interestingly I created a copy of the route, and changed the navigation type to Car, and in that route it does NOT take me onto the express lane.

@Rajp, I can't really find a clue. https://mapcreator.here.com/navlink:989811321/?l=32.9299,-117.1133,18,autoselect does not seem to reveal toll information. And the website about this road is seemingly blocked for foreigners wanting to plan a USA trip.

It is absolutely not true that the motorcycle is unstable as said by @Marinus-van-Deudekom.

The only difference is that motorcycle has no shortest route option due to limitations at HERE. If a motorcycle takes a toll road where not expected (and allowed) this is just a mapping error which can be reported here: https://mapfeedback.here.com/#/report

I did not state that the bike profile is unstable.
in this case the difference between the bike and car profile results in the routing by tollway. if you choose the car profile the route goes as wanted, in this case

Just to make sure people aren't talking about different things:

Are we talking about the 'bicycle' or the 'motorcycle' profile?

Both could be referred to as 'bike', depending on where you're from.
