@Corjan-Meijerink : Hey das gefällt mir sehr. Schon erledigt. Danke dafür.

In the new navigation app, I don't see an option to search for fuel stops or cafes etc. How do we do this?

@Andy-W not yet in this update on active navigation display. This feature is still in development. You have to search for POI's. Select the POI you want to show on the map within the POI-menu when making rout route.
-
@Corjan-Meijerink congratulations, nice job done!
-
@Rob-Verhoeff Hmm that's disappoint after the big fanfare over the new release. I would have thought a search feature was a basic requirement when navigating. I hope it's being developed as a priority.
-
@Andy-W The release today is a stable public version. This has been communicated earlier on the forum. Work is currently underway on developing the "bells and whistles." Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are components too that are currently very basic. Displaying the nearest gasstation on your route is an example of that as well. I cannot say for certain if that also includes showing cafestops on your route in the active navigation display. Just a little more patience.

I'm playing with and did not take part on the beta project.
Two small item's what i like and mis is recent adresses and a way if you selected it to change something in it without going back and enter the complete adres again and more flexible adding of fovarites, still have to use extra steps to ad favorites.End of this week i will take a two week motor trip and will then test the app to it's maximum.

Both searching for POI's (with a focus on fuel stations for now) and improving the search functionality are a priority at this moment

Fantastic. I look forward to getting the updates when they are released.

Klopt het dat de nieuwste versie 4.0.0 - 185 moet zijn? op Android toestel

Ja, dat klopt.

@Corjan-Meijerink
fantastic achievement for you and the team, congratulations.Should those of us that have the Beta version now remove/delete it and run from the released version, or will there still be testing and feedback and updates through the most recent Beta version?

@Frappawotsit you can choose yourself! See this post: https://forum.myrouteapp.com/topic/4515/what-s-next

Is there any timeline on the yards/miles/feet problem?
Navigation still uses yards instead of feet, even if you select appropriately in your account.
-
@Matt-Flaming I guess it’s not really an issue so to say in the app. Yards were chosen as the preferred imperial unit but feet makes more sense to people in a different geographical region We’d need to add that and will do so in a future update.
However, I’ve got no timeline for that yet

I don’t think that’s as easy as it might seem. The UK uses miles and yards for distance and feet for height.

I haven't used another app that didn't manage to do it correctly...this isn't a new phenomena.
HEREWeGo and every other navigation app has this figured out.
-
@Matt-Flaming it won’t be that complex, just need to get around doing it
No worries, we’ll get it sorted. Given the distribution of our users, it is no surprise that we used a UK standard rather than US.
