The compas direction on the elevation circle is wrong

Hello, all!
I think I have seen this discussed before, but can not find it...
Anyway, the North-South-East-West Red segment on the elevation circle is not working properly and therefore is very confusing.
Has this been looked into and if yes, what is the latest on that?

The red segment shows the direction to north.

Well.... it should ! But..... look at this pictures. I am standing in the same spot facing due South. My Pap is oriented North.

I guess I needed a mental adjustment to understand that the red segment just says where the North is in relation to the direction I am traveling (to my nose... )
That said, please confirm that the following pictures show the expected behavior of the Red segment. My map is oriented NORTH, so you can easily see in which direction I am moving. Thank you!

I just verrified it on a ride this morning. In the Dynamic mode the Blue Arrow in the bottom right acts as a compass too, and it coinsides with the Red segment behavior.

Agree that it looks strange in the north up view.
The red sections points to where north is.
Compared to your physical orientation, not the map on your screen.
