Not all Moments showing up in my tracks, or not at all
-
As of late some of my Moments do not show up in my saved tracks.
We are just back from a 350 mile, ride and a lot of the moments did not show up in my tracklog.
Then this morning to test it again i went a short ride in the car, used Android auto with a favorite to get the route to show up, (that worked great) and at one of the stops I took two pictures with the app running, but neither showed up on the tracklog?
I would then need to go in and manually add them.
Also, is there a maximum number of moments that can be added to a tracklog?

@Robert-Beaupre, I am not sure what you mean by "moments", but I just tried to replicate what you describe, and I see pictures attached to my uploaded tracklog just fine. You are using the in-app photo option I suppose (so not your Android Photo app). To be honest I am ahead a bit on versions compared to that latest public release, but I can't imagine anything being changed on this subject. Maybe someone on a public release can retry?

Yes, using the MyRoute App, (Gold) on my Android phone. Stop along the route and from the app take a picture ((moment) in the route planner). Not all of the pictures show up when I return home and view the tracklog of the ride I was just on? Viewing the tracklog in MRA Routeplanner

@Bob-Beaupre hi Bob. You say that you use the Gold abo but you need the navigation next app as well

@Marinus-van-Deudekom, that is incorrect, adding pictures to tracklogs is a tracking feature and that is even possible with a free subscription.

@Con-Hennekens but to create a tracklog in my opinion you must be navigating and therefore must have the next app. I think that that was what the question was about

@Marinus-van-Deudekom, No

You can start tracking from the main screen, you do not have to be navigating. That was ultimately the main goal for the app, navigation has been added later. Also in the upcoming version 5 of the app, it will still be possible to track without navigation, and also to add pictures to your track. -

I give up. I don't have to understand everything

@Marinus-van-Deudekom, It beats me why so many people track what they already have routes for...

But fact is that the MRA app started out as a track only app. People want to track where they are going, even if they follow a route leader. Have you never seen the track-button on the main window?

@Marinus-van-Deudekom I will sometimes record a tracklog when part of a group ride and we have not been given the route - the ride leader is using the second rider drop off procedure. This then allows me to review the route later on.

@Dave-J-0 and how do you feel that ride. Using the web screen or like I think using the navigation app and thus recording that ride.

@Con-Hennekens do you mean the main window of the webpage or the main window of the navigation app

@Marinus-van-Deudekom On the ride, I can see where I have been on the iPhone for understanding where I am if in a new area. More importantly, I will use the tracklog in the web planner when planning a route in that area - this is probably how I use the tracklog the most.
-

@Marinus-van-Deudekom, no, the MRA app of course. There is no tracking from within the web page...

Tracking without navigating.

I track my hiking routes in the mountains and add photo moments to them.

To save any confusion Bob, Gold only refers to the website route planner.
The mobile app is ether the free version that allows you to view and share your routes as well as creating tracklogs (tracking). Or you pay a subscription to have the navigation module added, thev navigation module is known as MRA Navigation Next.

maybe so they can see where the route that they had so carefully spent months planning, all went tits up & try & figure out what went wrong with the useless navigation device they were using

I actually record tracks of all my routes to see how accurately they are followed & to correct routes that might have real life errors that are not in the map data

@Brian-McG, exactly, many people have different use cases. That was actually the point I was trying to make, like a mirror to the comment I was replying to
