@wim-GS als ik echt een route aan het rijden ben dan zet ik de verkeersfunctie uit en los eventuele wegproblemen die niet voorzien waren, zelf op. Vooral in het buitenland kun je daar knap veel last van hebben

@Tony-13, can you re-download the file as a GPX file? I find that much more compatible than anything.

@John-S-Parry @Guzzist answered most of yoiur questions I think. In addition to that I want to say that the tablet was designed by/for a company that concentrates mostly on off road riding. It's used all over the world and a lot of users live in warm countries so therefore it's save to say that it will perfom as good as the XT/XT2 devices plus the advantage of beeing able to use MRA witch is ofcourse impossible on Garmin devices.
Switching back to the original topic: in my search for an solution to replace my XT I did look carefully at the Carpuride like devices. In MY opinion the lack of using all the MRA features caused by restrictions from Aplle and Google I didn't think was going te be an option for ME. I wanted to use all of the features of MRA. On top of that using a screen copy device like Carpuride you still need to have your phone on and attached to a power sourche to be able to ride a compleet day.
Since the T865X has a possibility tu use a simmcard in the device the phone doesn't have to be active.

Je hebt wel veel waypoint niet op de weg geplaatst maar een stuk ernaast. Deze altijd even goed op de weg plaatsen. Hierdoor krijg je ook dat hij je wil terug sturen omdat hij het punt gemist heeft. En zet je begin punt altijd iets verder weg dan je orginele startpunt. Dan heeft de navi tijd om je goed op naar je eerste punt te begeleiden

Het is de horizon.
TomTom Go heeft een vergelijkbare view maar laat de Horizon niet zo nadrukkelijk zien als MRA. Hierdoor stoort het minder of helemaal niet.

De dwingende factor die een viapunt in de navigatie heeft, is er niet in de planner.
Dat kan dus voor een andere effect in de navigatie zorgen

@Roger-Meijers not sure if you've run into this situation or not, and it has previoulsy been reported - if the search term happens to be a long name, or shows mulitiple options, it's virtually impossible to select the correct option unless you actually select an address and see where it is on the map. If you've selected the wrong one, you have to start again.

@M-Schrijver In heb een SIM kaart in de BMW CRN, kost mij nu 2,50 euro per maand via KPN, was een aanbieding normale kosten 5 euro, en krijg 2 Gig data. Deze 2 Gig is ruim voldoende om een maand lang te navigeren. Mocht ik te kort komen dan stort ik via delen flink wat bij, wat gewoon gebruikt kan worden bij roaming. Laatst zo'n 150 Gig er door heen gejaagd vanwege een ander doel. Die SIM is dus ideaal vooral als je gebruikt wil maken van A-B navigatie met verkeersinformatie elk ander doel van je navigatie waar on-line info handig is
De data honger ligt veel lager dan bij MRA.

Wat nu wel handig is bij de BMW CRN, volgens mij bij een van de laatste software releases toegevoegd, is dat je via USB-C routes nu rechtstreeks in de CRN kan plaatsen scheelt gepruts en omzetten in de app.

DE CRN is ook erg handig in gebieden waar GPS ontvangst gebrekkig is omdat de antenne en het ontvangst veel beter is dan een telefoon, scheelt een hoop ongewenst gespring naar wegen waar je niet rijdt.

De CRN is verre van ideaal maar beter en sneller dan het gedrocht BMW Garmin, waar ik de versie VI versie 2 van heb. De snelheid is vooral handig als je een lange routes rijdt waar een herberekening plaats vind, bij de Garmin kan je gaan koffie drinken bij de CRN vrijwel direct een herberekening.

@Aggelos-Minoudis You have a 2000km route, which is a long route. I would create a folder and save this a as a back up. Then create daily (8hours) or 4 hourly rides routes. That way if there is have any problem with route it only effects you for that part of the ride. By creating these smaller routes to can then add points of interest, cafe and fuel stops.
Depending on your route and how strict you want to be about following it will be controlled by Way points you add also are you sharing this route with others in your group. If so, I would suggest you use the compare route with function to see if the "HERE" mapping is the same as TomTom and OpenStreetMap to make sure they are using the same shaping point and roads as they sometimes can be different.

De manier waarmee MRA met POI's omgaat is niet alleen heel omslachtig maar vervuilt ook nog eens heel je gps data base daar elke naam uniek moet zijn.
Leuk dat er een proximity alert is maar deze werkt bij mijn weten enkel bij de outdoor toestellen. Zeker al niet met mijn Zumo 590.
De routes die ik doorgestuurd krijg met handjes in vragen heel wat werk om deze te vergangen door effectieve waypoints in BC omdat de gemiddelde gebruiker niet goed en/of niet weet hoe hij met POI's in MRA moet omgaan.
Net even wat opslaan testjes gedaan met POI's in een paar testroutes zowel zuiver POI als opnemen als routepunt (staan naast de weg natuurlijk en als je deze niet op de weg plaatst krijg je de vraag waarom hun XT geen route kan berekenen?), handje en POI. In geen van de drie voldoen ze aan mijn verwachtingen voor een Garmin gps. Waarschijnlijk omdat ik gewend ben om zuivere waypoints in een route op te nemen in BC.
Dan is BC 10x makkelijker dan MRA.

Op mijn Goldwing heb ik heb Android Auto. Dat gebruik in de T865X tablet. Gelukkig zonder problemen.
In mijn auto heb ik wel Android Auto en ook dat ervaar ik heb problemen. Dus ik hoop dat de Devs je verder kunnen helpen

Dit is iets van TomTom kaart in MRA. Die gaat inderdaad gewoon over het Hofplein.
Maar op Plan.TomTom lukt dit niet.

Op de TomTom kaart in MRA wordt verkeersinfo blijkbaar niet of beperkt meegenomen.
