Not really a problem, more like I'm doing something wrong
-
@Garry-Davis, these small things can sometimes be very frustrating, ik know...
You can question Corjan anytime, he is beast-like developer, but he does not bite! -
@Con-Hennekens I've got to say that it's nice to ask a question, and get many helpful replies. I'm not on Fartbook, but I hear so many things about the response to questions asked by people, and the answers from keyboard warriors, I'm glad I'm not on any social media platforms ( I think that's what they call them )

@Con-Hennekens @Mzokk @Corjan-Meijerink @Erdna
Well as promised, I said I'd get back to you if I cracked it.
Well I was sitting here, and I had a lightbulb moment, the wife has the same phone as me, and she has MRA on her phone too.
So I thought I'd do a route on her phone, then tip it to landscape mode, and see what the result was.
Well all the information was on the phone screen.
So into her settings display for a rummage around, and the only different setting was the one marked, "Display Size ", mine was off the chart, hers was at a more realistic level., and guess what, mines perfect now too.
So at the risk of sounding like a cracked record, thanks for all your help you gave me in this minor matter, which was really of my own making.
Cheers
Garry. -
@Garry-Davis Good stuff glad you are sorted

@Garry-Davis
You mean that your phone was set with a larger setting?
I've noticed that not all apps can handle changed settings for text height, resolution, etc properly.
Those changes in the settings are normally made to get things larger on your screen.
Was this your intention also? -
@M-Schrijver Yes, the display was set off the chart.
No it wasn't my intention, as I'd always used the phone in portrait mode, it was only when the other half was driving and I turned the phone to landscape, that's when I noticed all the information wasn't there.
All sorted now, I'm happy to say. -

Well, I think I was pretty close to the correct answer with this:

From your picture though, it looks like you have some kind of zoom-factor on your screen. Like the app gets reported a resolution beyond what is zoomed into on your screen.
I'd love to see a screenshot from where that setting resides, so I can try to replicate and put it in my support toolbox
Even though I am surprised by this, since I know that virtual resolutions as a result of the Android split-screen function are being handled by the app pretty well...

Go to the top of the class.
As I've said before, a BIG thank you to all for some great help.
Hope this helps ?? -
Yep, those are the settings which can cause trouble with some apps.
I've never changed those setting for a long time. On one occassion i had one of those settings set to large and noticed that an app had troubles with the larger setting. I was a test for me just to see what happen when you change these settings.Maybe MRA can do something this. I can understand you want some larger text but a map should be affected by these kind of settings. There is the typical zoom function of the map for.

@M-Schrijver That's what threw me, the original settings that I had on the phone worked well with Waze, and Google maps, but affected MRA, which made me feel I was doing something wrong in the app. Trouble is I don't like messing about too much with phone settings, as before I know it I've buggered everything up.
