Apple Mac and TomTom
-
Can anyone tell me how to get an .itn file from an Apple Mac computer to a TomTom 550 please.
The TomTom is connected with the correct USB cable.
Import Routes was selected when it appeared on the TomTom screen.
The .itn file was exported using the MRA Connector but a pop-up box appears stating Export failed.I advised this user to download Android File Transfer but this is not available from the Apple Store, the store now has MacDroid which was downloaded but appears to only allow files to be transferred from the TomTom to the Mac and not the other way.
I would be grateful for any advice please.

With Android File Transfer

I am not a Mac user, but to transfer files from a Mac to the 550 the Mac must see the 550 as "Mass Storage" like an HDD or SD-Card.
this should usually happen when you confirm "import Routes" on the 550.
On a windows PC now the internal Memory and the attached SD-Card appears as a drive.
For some reason, the Mac can not see the 550 as "Mass Storage".
The only option, I guess, would be to use the SD-Card to get it to the 550.The TomTom help page refers also to Android File Transfer.

If this does not work, there must be another issue.
USB-Cable, Port, Driver.

Where do you download Android File Transfer from?
The Apple Store only has MacDroid which does not work.

Thanks @Jörgen I am aware of all of what you say.

The link on the TT page does not work anymore, seems the app no longer exists.

Found it on a German page: https://www.netzwelt.de/download/18577-android-file-transfer-kostenlos.html
You need to click 3 times on download.

@Jörgen Thanks, there is a link to download Android File Transfer in the TomTom support page you sent.
So I think this question has now been answered. -
