no audio turn-by-turn instructions

Re: [No sound through CHello,
after using myroutapp for years, I have now installed the new navigation on android after a break.
As my sim card has no more data volume at the moment, I have travelled completely offline.
Offline map loaded via WLan. Route loaded onto smartphone at home.
Start on the road.
The navigation started without any problems.
But unfortunately no navigation announcements.
The speed warning was transmitted, so the connection to PacktalkBold is OK.
I then selected the tts engine and a voice in the settings. The voice is audible with the test button.
However, there are still no turn-by-turn instructions.
When I access the hotspot of a second smartphone via Wi-Fi, the turn-by-turn instructions are available.
Is it possible that the tts-engine is always queried, but then does not work if there is no internet connection?
I can no longer deactivate the function, both are always active. See screenshot.
I look forward to any hints or a fix for the bug, if it is one.Hallo,

Solved:
Hello,
seems to me that you have solved my problems.
Did a route today and started without internet:
It worked well, perhaps the early instructions were cut off after 1 or 2 seconds.
The last turn instruction was complete.
Thank you for all your work.

@Rainer-Treichel thanks for the follow up!

@Corjan-Meijerink You are welcome!
The new development of myrouteapp contains most of what i was waiting for.
'Never say: all is good'

@Rainer-Treichel All is good that ends well.

@Corjan: Now that I'm speaking directly into your ear, I have another wish or suggestion.
Route guidance and navigation always become particularly important when I deviate from the route.
Be it a roadworks or simply because I take a wrong turn.
If I then get the message: No internet, route cannot be calculated, the user is suddenly left out in the cold. In the figurative sense.
Then stop, call up settings, activate offline navigation.
How about giving the switch for offline navigation two positions:
Offline navigation always active
Activate offline navigation automatically if there is no Internet AND maps in the device.
A message can appear on the monitor when switching, but route guidance continues seamlessly. -
@Rainer-Treichel, I am sorry, but your suggestions are reality since a long time. In online mode the app will switch to "temporary offline" when there is no signal, and will switch back to online when when the connection is re-established. In Offline mode no attempt to access internet will be made at all, and a deviation will be calculated on the offline maps.

@Con-Hennekens Thank you for this answer.
You are right.
I think that an incomplete download of the offline map was responsible for the error/problem.
BUT: the download is extremely slow, though my smartphpone is connected via ethernet at home.
See you later …

@Rainer-Treichel said in no audio turn-by-turn instructions:

You have your phone connected to ethernet? Most people use wifi
But you are right, the download of multiple maps at once sometimes lead to incomplete downloads, and locking of the progress. It's best to leave your phone untouched a while after starting the download of maps, don't stop the app and have it on a location with good reception of wifi.
