problem Zumo xt

@terry-durkin When using a PC or laptop, the most reliable method requires connecting to the XT using a USB cable. From the MRA app, use the 'export' feature. It requires a one-time installation of a connector app.
Using the Garmin Drive app wirelessly works as well, but it can be glitchy. The USB method has worked for me every time. I use the GPX 1.1 file type.
Good luck, MRA and the XT can be a very nice combination.
@Don-Stauffer i agree

Im trying to send routes to a Zumo xt but all i get is device not recognized, does anyone else have this problem
@terry-durkin I use the drive app. Make sure your XT is online. That way it works perfect. It shouldn't make a difference but my experience is that it works best with the XT online

I'm using the MRA app on my phone and, after opening a route, i export it to my Zumo XT using the Drive app. Never had any issues!
I also use the 1.1 GPX file type every time.

@Nomko-Nomden that is exactly what I di. In theory of is possible to do it with the XT offline but I've experienced soms trouble and found that the routes were not send to the XT when it came on line.

Maybe that's the problem in your case i assume?
I normally do it with the XT "online" so thsat i can transfer the routes directly to my XT through the Drive app. Never had any issues working like this. And i always usie 1.1 GPX, i did 1.2 but some routes work just fine but others i had issues with when navigating. So, 1.1 for me. -

Im trying to send routes to a Zumo xt but all i get is device not recognized, does anyone else have this problem
Hello, I have the same problem. The only thing that helps is removing the external memory card, then the XT is recognized at the Notebook and the transfer works.

I also had this problem as well trying to use the Web version of MyRoute-app. Some have given a partial answer but I would like to explain a bit more as I needed to work this out too. The Zumo is designed to interact with your mobile phone. So you need to download the My-route-app onto your mobile phone from the Appstore (I am using Apple ios) and then transfer the file to your Zumo using Garmin Drive. It will then come through as a track which you can convert to a route if you want to.

Maybe as a workable alternative: Connect the zumo with the cable to your phone (use a data cable/adaptor for this) and use the files app to copy the GPX files.
