The Zumo is designed to interact with your mobile phone. So you need to download the My-route-app onto your mobile phone from the Appstore (I am using Apple ios) and then transfer the file to your Zumo using Garmin Drive. It will then come through as a track which you can convert to a route if you want to.

Hello, I have the same problem. The only thing that helps is removing the external memory card, then the XT is recognized at the Notebook and the transfer works.

Maybe that's the problem in your case i assume?
I normally do it with the XT "online" so thsat i can transfer the routes directly to my XT through the Drive app. Never had any issues working like this. And i always usie 1.1 GPX, i did 1.2 but some routes work just fine but others i had issues with when navigating. So, 1.1 for me.

I'm using the MRA app on my phone and, after opening a route, i export it to my Zumo XT using the Drive app. Never had any issues!

I also use the 1.1 GPX file type every time.

That way it works perfect. It shouldn't make a difference but my experience is that it works best with the XT online
