I have an iPhone 7!
if I start a route where there are Waypoints and Shaping points, the field at the bottom, by clicking, shows the distance to the next Shaping point and then, by clicking again, to the next Waypoint, this doesn't happen in my app, it shows the distance to the next shaping with the drop represented, then shows the same time and distance to the next Waypoint, which is about 40 km away! why this problem? furthermore, if I start navigation and click on any Waypoint, no popup appears with this information... -
@Aiello-antonino I recall that the iPhone X is the last phone in the line of iPhones still supported by MRA. If MRA is still working on your device, it probably isn't doing so willingly, I think? Could that perhaps (also) be a cause of your post? The iPhone 7 was released in 2016, which is already 7-8 years ago. Current apps heavily rely on technology nowadays, and of course, technology has exponentially advanced in recent years!

@Rob-Verhoeff same problem on iPad Air 4, so I wouldn't say it depends on the phone...
-
@Aiello-antonino Could it have to do with you not having reached the starting point yet? Your route, so to speak, still needs to begin. Will the infobox display the correct values once you've passed point 1? Otherwise, I wouldn't know!
-
@Rob-Verhoeff that's not the problem, just tried it. I just finished watching the MRA NAVIGATION webinar and it worked for them, both the distance between the next shaping point and the next Waypoint...also the popup that should appear when clicking on the various Waypoints doesn't work either

@Aiello-antonino At what point do I look? Don't want to watch the whole video...
-
@Rob-Verhoeff minute 42…
-
@Aiello-antonino Found it. Same here! So I guess we've to wait until dev's say something...
-
@Rob-Verhoeff this morning it works! however, only the part of the images in the Waypoints
-
@Aiello-antonino In another channel, I was alerted this morning that this is already an old discussion on the forum. Once you've passed the starting point (as I mentioned earlier), it works by design.
-
@Aiello-antonino, I am not sure I understand your problem exactly, as I am thinking there is no problem at all. You can switch to see the first VIA point or the first waypoint. You have to consider that a via point is also a waypoint. All VIA points are waypoints, not all waypoints are VIA points... If you know this, it is quite logical for the app to show the same waypoint for both options when the first upcoming waypoint happens to be a VIA point...
Furthermore, a popup when tapping a waypoint ONLY applies if an image or a note is added for that waypoint.
So I think both of your "problems" actually are by design
-
@Con-Hennekens if you look at the video I posted of the webinar, they are still, they even say so, but when they touch a Waypoint in navigation mode, the information popup appears, I can tell you this happens even if there isn't a photo, in fact this morning it works, last night it didn't... if you watch the video, you'll see that by touching the section at the bottom where the km of the route are, this changes, showing the indication to the next shaping point and then to the next Waypoint that I set as in the video , the problem is that it gives me, for example, 5 minutes and 10 km for the shaping point, then if you click again, it gives me what I have set as a Waypoint, but always with the same measurements, but the Waypoint is 10 km away from the shaping point! watch the video from minute 42 to understand and then look at my photos, noting the differences in the information field, between shaping point and Waypoint
-
@Aiello-antonino it's doing exactly as expected. Giving you the distance and time to waypoint # 1.
-
@RetiredWingMan but you've seen the video, otherwise we don't understand each other... the indication for the first one which is a shaping point is fine, but it's not good for the second which is a via point km away while instead it indicates the same result as the first shaping points
-
@Aiello-antonino, that video did not help. I think you linked the wrong one. At minute 42 there is no mention of Waypoints or Via points. I have been trying to understand what you mean exactly, but cannot find any discrepancies during my tries. All works as expected for me.
-
@Con-Hennekens 42.16 when they talk about touch
-
@Aiello-antonino If the route point contains a note or a photograph it will open when you press it.
-
@Aiello-antonino yes, I've seen the video and you constantly miss the point. In your example, the next waypoint is # 1 20 mins away. The next Viapoint is also waypoint # 1 20 mins away. The video is different.
If you skip waypoint # 1 then you will see different results for the next waypoint and the next Viapoint.

-
@Aiello-antonino, when the next VIA point is also the next waypoint, the distance and time will logically NOT change...
