Update???
-
I just got an email about an update. It says 4.0.7. There are so many fake scam emails nowadays. I want to make sure it's legit because when I open myroute and search around I see nothing about a new update.

Yes it is the latest update.

@Denny-Blew Updates are distributed (usually automatically) through the app store for your phone (Google Play Store or Apple App Store). There can sometimes be a delay between the announcement of a new version by MRA and the availability of that update due to the review process for the respective app stores.
Updates are always announced on this forum as well, so if you're unsure about the validity of an e-mail, you can verify it here. 4.0.7 was announced on this forum 12 days ago, so it should be available on the app stores now. If your app hasn't been updated, you can usually force an update from the Play Store or App Store app on your phone.

Just on the scam front, for those that worry about clicking (and rightly so)...
It's always a good idea to examine any link before clicking on it:
- on a PC just hover the cursor over the link to examine it
- on a phone/tablet long press on the link and examine it in the popup that appears
What you're looking for is the two parts before the first single forward '/'.
If that's a recognisible domain (the expected company or website name + .com, .co.uk, .nl, etc) you'll be OK to click through. Some examples - the bit that matters is in bold:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/myroute-app/id969030524This one is trustworthy because it is part of the Apple domain.
This is also trustworthy:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cloudmax.myrouteappA safe link to this forum:
https://forum.myrouteapp.com/topic/5833/update/4For obvious reasons, I'm not going post example dodgy links, but you get the idea.
