MRA Next Map Downloading

Well... My experience with maps download is as follows, and I think all comes down to the device's age and/or hardware...

• 4-year old cheap Android phone: Impossible to download maps

• iPhone SE 1st Generation: Downloads maps but takes its time, not that fast but not slow.

• iPad Pro 2019 12.9inch... fastest of all three devices, by a long shot.

So... The new app seems much more suitable to more powerful phones and tablets.

Old Androids definitely struggle in terms of performance, but I've downloaded the UK maps (980Mb) onto a 5 year-old Nokia 1 and it ran OK, so it depends on the device, the size of the maps, and possibly the OS level. That did take a fair chunk of of available 2.5Gb of memory. Eeek! It also took more than 5 minutes.

I haven't tried live navigation with it - the screen is too small - but everything works as expected.

Its saving grace is that it's a pure Google build, the cutdown Android 'Go' version, with no extra crud from Nokia thrown in.

But I wouldn't rush out and buy one for MRA use.

My navigation next has stopped working, click on navigation button and it flicks on, then app closes.
Was working perfectly last week.
Can myroute app have off line maps?
Any ideas how to fix the navigation app?

@Chris-Whitehurst, which platform? I would suggest a de-install and re-install of the app. On Android you can choose to delete cache and storage in de app-settings of the OS.
