I'm new to MyRoute, but am creating a master route heading from York, PA to Milwaukee, WI, for the Harley Davidson 120th Homecoming Festival. I just realized I can insert small "daily ride routes" into my master route.

I noticed that these small rides routes appear in yellow. Is there a way to change their color, and how do I save the master route whereby the daily rides will still appear in the master? My apologies if my terminology is off.

      Thanks,
      Dan

@RGDan59 Make a copy of the master route and if you have a Gold RoutePlanner account you can use the split tool to split the copy into individual daily routes.

@RGDan59 it sounds like you want to merge multiple routes in to a single route. As far as I know there is no utility to do that. You have to manually add the waypoints into your master route.

@Doug-Robinson Merging routes is possible. Type merge into the support search box.

Thanks. I see I can merge these “daily scenic rides” into my main route in the beginning or the end of my main route. I think it would be more helpful if I could choose where to insert them, as it would typically be somewhere between n the middle of the main route.

I wonder if it’s just better to keep these daily scenic routes as separate routes from the main route, then when I’m in that area, just ride the scenic routes.

I would suggest that you only use daily routes when navigating. There’s just too much information for your navigation device to deal with if you try and use the entire tour as one route.

That makes sense, thanks. I tried the split route feature but that just creates additional routes. So far, it still seems that I should keep daily fun rides separate from the main tour route.
