In the end, I couldn't wait and bought it. 
I got it today. But unfortunately, it is malfunctioning. Button 1 has a clumsy feel to it, it's badly fitted and makes bad contact. When zooming in it instantly zooms in again without pressing it.
I have written to Joost Bijl to see what solution he has and sent him these two videos.
@Maicro Joost Bijl has already replied to me. That he is sorry and will send me a new unit. Very thoughtful of him. I have already told him that I pay at least the postage or send him the defective unit.

Great to see this happening - whatâs the latest? Iâd love to be able to use my Thork racing âAdventure Controllerâ.
Just a view on the Bar Buttons options - they would be fine on road but I think a bit too complex for off road riding. Just a thought.

Never heard of this type device but if they use similar configurations as the previous listed, it should work
@Corjan-Meijerink tested the improved Barbuttons support in the app today. Brilliant work guys. So many more operations possible within the app now using the buttons. Selection of routes, starting Nav, adjusting route preferences, changing settings etc. Zoom and map panning works great. Thanks guys.
Only thing I noticed was I couldnât seem to restart a route using Barbuttons after stopping navigation. Is this possible now or will it be?
Still fantastic without though.

@Eric-Minschart Not any time soon! It would however still be the same device as the available BarButtons only with some custom branding / different pricing
We are waiting for some new BarButtons prototypes and then might reconsider it.
Maybe this is more something for the person behind barbutton to explore, but this user community could come up with some very useful features like a:
"help, i need fuel now" button leading immediately to the nearest petrol station , and then back to the route
"zoom to a square of 1 by 1 km and remove anything else from the screen for as long as i keep this button pushed, "
The risk is that we would end up with a 100+ button keyboard but that could be solved by configuration?
In general, tinkering with a keyboard is not a safe option while driving, so to limit the time spent on it I would be interested in complex functions for this barbutton thing that go beyond excecuting basic instructions one by one, and this brings me back to the "speed screen" that I suggested some time ago.

Mir stellt sich die Frage der Bluetooth Kopplung des IPhone Xr mit MyRoute-App, mit der Kopplung zum TFT an der GS, geht denn dann auch gleichzeitig die Kopplung mit dem BarButtons System ?
Ich möchte die MyRoute-App Ansagen ĂŒber mein Headset hören das ist mit dem TFT gekoppelt und gleichzeitig ja das Handy mit dem TFT das geht mittlerweile sehr gut.
Geht dann zusÀtzlich das System BarButtons und alles zusammen funktioniert dann auch ?

@Hubert-Thoring, your phone can handle multiple BT connections simultaneously, no problem. The BarButtons will only connect to one device at a time. So you can use BB on your phone while also having a headset connected and your TFT screen. You can however only use th BB for handling your phone.
