GPS positie freeze

@Mark-Vroomen Varios hemos padecido el mismo problema. Ahora estamos con una beta que parece que ya soluciona el problema, así que en breve se debería lanzar la solución para todos.
De todos modos, algo que sin ser 100% científico si me dio la sensación que mejoro mucho, fue seguir estos pasos en mi smartphone como ya he comentado en algún que otro post:

• Borrar cache de Mra
• Borrar memoria de Mra
• Forzar detención de Mra
• Desinstalar Mra
• Volver a instalar Mra

Con estos pasos y la nueva beta, me funciona 100% perfecto despues de meses de errores..

Zijn er al oplossingen gevonden om dit probleem de wereld uit te helpen?

Eergisteren de navigatieapp weer eens gebruikt in de auto om een route te volgen, meermaals bleef de boel hangen tijdens een ritje van ruim een uur.

Dit is echt frustrerend........

Ik heb de nieuwste versie van MRA op mijn telefoon btw.

Alright, I turned off location permissions for the Android Auto app as suggested by Adrian and went for a test drive.

It went smoothly even though I did things that seemed to initiate the problem before, like taking a wrong turn so MRA has to recalculate and making a short stop.

I'll do more testing when time permits but so far it's either luck or the problem is pinpointed.

For now removing the locations permissions for the Android Auto app on your phone is something which make MRA more stable on Android Auto. At least if your using it on a motorcycle.

It is possible that this option will change nothing in a car. Because in a car your phone is most hidden somewhere while the GPS of the car (when you car has one) is out in the open.

My findings were in a car. On my motorcycle I use a TomTom after creating routes with MRA.
Maybe the hickups don't occur because of bad GPS reception but because of 2 GPS sources "speaking" to MRA at the same time....
This is just a guess though!

Anyway, with the permission removed everything seems okay, at least on my little test drive.

Please note that the freezing of MRA isn't due to no available location. Other apps do get a valid location from the GPS.

It has already happened to me several times that the location was blocked, but I was not using CarPlay at that time, it happened again today immediately after the update to version 5.1, always without CarPlay... I would say that the problem persists... I have an iPhone 16 plus with iOS 18

Yes, I know! But I preferred to stay on iOS 18 because at the moment I don't dare and iOS 26, but this was already happening before iOS 26 came out... so I would say it's not an iOS problem...
