Please allow more characters in the Note field...

We use MRA in our car each year on European driving holidays. We use the Waypoint Note field for adding descriptive text about upcoming locations. This is FANTASTIC.
I spend 9-12 months planning the route and finding out all about the places, roads, passes and cols we are driving past. I add extra waypoints before locations and write in the Notes about the upcoming location.
So, my request would be can you please allow more characters to the Note field. It is currently about 440 characters. Can you expand this to 600 please?
Another thought, it would be really cool if you could set the Note to be read XX km before reaching the waypoint. That way I wouldn't have to add all these extra descriptive waypoints to my map!

Wow, I guess you are building complete tour guides? I use this method quite a lot, but I would be disturbed if a message takes longer that 10 to 15 seconds to be spoken...

Notes in shaping points are displayed and read aloud at 750 metres before the location of the shaping point. For via points, the notes are displayed and read aloud at 2 kilometres before the location of the via point.
Absolutely true, but only if there is no other route point in between.

@Con-Hennekens Unlike most people here, we are using MRA in a car and find it really nice as we drive past a Castle to hear a bit about its history etc.
We used these Notes for the first time on our Dolomites trip last year and it really added to our enjoyment of the journey and places we were passing. It also made my wife stop talking for a few minutes while the note was read... so maybe I should ask for the limit to be raised to 10,000 characters

I hope Mrs Grzelinski isn’t reading this

I usually buy my audiobooks from Amazon.

Is this a new business model from MRA?

@Tom-Grzelinski, I suppose your navigation voice is not set to a woman?

Yeah I use it the same way you do, but always try to keep the message short.
Behold you can lose a navigation instruction when your note keeps babbling though. -

Indeed.
And there lay my problem. For many of my routes 750 meters and especially 2 kilometers is a long distance. I have many routes where the distance between two points is a lot less (i don't like those long stretches).
When starting at 750 meters the text is already gone and maybe even forgotten before i reach the waypoint. I my opinion 300 meters before (maybe even less is more than enough). -

. I bet those same 300mtrs are not enough for Tom if he wants the length of the notes be longer. -
OK, OK, I'm leaving now, you're all being mean

Personally, the 750 mtrs is perfect

Another way that is proven to stop Mrs. Grzelinski talking is to use my right foot and open up the flat-six engine behind me. Suddenly she is very quiet!
