New beta! 5.0.2 (438) - free drive
-
Hi everyone!

This beta update, which will be available shortly, contains two major changes!

Free drive
From the menu on the home page you can select "free drive".
This will close all menu's and allows you to drive around with just the map.
The app will show your current speed, the speed limit and name of the current road. You can also enable the free drive mode for your own (generated) routes!

Nice little extra: the route is also displayed on the map in CarPlay / Android Auto while free driving.Note: displayed information honors your screen layout preferences
Note: current speed, speed limit and current road are not displayed for hiking / cycling
Note: free drive with a displayed route cannot be started from CarPlay / Android AutoCarPlay / Android Auto speed indicators
While not navigating, CarPlay and Android Auto will show your current speed and speed limit of the road you are driving on.Map spinning while standing still (Android)
We've changed / improved some positioning behavior that should prevent the map from spinning.
See this thread for more information.Stability improvements and minor fixes
We've resolved an issue that could sometimes cause the app to crash while launching.
Besides that minor issues have been resolved that were reported by the community:- Improved behavior of some bluetooth controllers (Generic back navigation / closing menu while navigating. To achieve this, simply use the button that allows you to open the menu while navigating. Manuals will be updated on public release. WunderLINQ escape action should work again)
- Zoom behavior while entering / leaving the highway
- Open the saved imported route (GPX) button works again. See this thread.
- QR code share of scenic routes would not work
That's it!

Cheers,
Corjan -
Nice work @team

Corjan@Corjan-Meijerink Some people will think Christmas has come early. Nice work mate. You haven’t mentioned speed cameras for free ride mode, I assume they will be active if selected in settings.

Cool, I'm looking forward to the changes. I could have tried it out today. I was travelling near Venlo.
-
Lots of recent updates and fixes. Just wish I could ride. It's been a cold snowy start to winter. Another three months....
-
Thanks again for the update, hard workers

Great update team

@Nick-Carthew no, definitely not.
A route is required for that. That’s why I did not mention them
