Export Connector to Zumo XT not working MacOS 26
-
I have my XT updated to the latest firmware and maps. My Mac is running macOS Tahoe 26.0. I have no other apps open that is accessing the XT. From the Export menu I select "Garmin new (GPX 1.1) for the device. And when I select Export to device, I get this message:
Any ideas on how to fix this issue? I know I can use the Drive app on my iPhone, but I'd like to use the Export option on the created route.

The Connector extension does not work with Mac OS and Android-based devices such as the ZumoXT.
I use my mobile phone with MRA Next and the Garmin Drive app for this purpose. -
As @Reinhard-32 has said, the Garmin XT has an Android operating system therefore your Mac does not recognise it when it is connected with the MRA Connector. You need to install a small piece of software to enable your Mac to see Android devices. The software used to be called Android File Transfer but I’m not sure if this is still available. It would be helpful if other Mac could comment on this topic.

It could be a software problem, as described before, but you have also to remove any sd-card out of your XT. Otherwise, it won't work.

@Nick-Carthew Nowadays I use OpenMTP instead of Android File Transfer

I also have an XT and use the Garmin Drive app on my phone to transfer routes to the XT.

Thanks @Rob-Veerman. After downloading it to your Mac, does it just sit in the background and recognise the XT when you connect?

@Nick-Carthew When you connect your Garmin device to the Mac and MTPOpen is opened you can use it as an oldfashioned Windows Commander and transfer files. In my case I also use a hub where I connect the Garmin XT to. Reason for this is that my MacBook Air only has an USB C connection.
