I am using an iPhone as my navigation device on the motorbike. Often (not always but most of the time) I get the route indicated as normal but also straight lines that follow the curvy route. Any ideas why? Thanks in advance.

@iain.gardengmail.com the straight white lines are supposed to indicate the original planned path as a "Track"
this can be enabled / disabled in the settings - Navigation Settings > Screen Layout > Lines > Show Original Route

The straight line issue is what I would call a bug but supposedly it is working as intended, something to do with saving data, more info on this thread https://forum.myrouteapp.com/post/66551

I believe the issue only affects Offline mode & there are a couple of workarounds to avoid seeing the straight lines

the first is to edit the route in the mobile app before navigating, this forces the track to be recalculated & fills in all the missing points that were omitted to save data

second is to still have your phone online / connected to the network/hotel wifi before starting navigation, again this allows the track to be recalculated & fill in all the missing points

I ride offline and see the straight lines sometimes during riding. What i remember. I happens when the cell coverage is (temporairy) gone.

(I use MRA Next only on Android Auto. Every comment, suggestion, etc will be based on my usage with Android Auto)

@M.-Schrijver It has nothing to do with cell coverage. The white line is the original route, open your route when you have Wi-Fi then the white line will follow the road.
