How to find a Petrol Station ALONG my route?
All I can find is closest one - but not on my way.
Could be perfect if there was a "indicator" showing distance to next petrol station ALONG a route.@Spili, the gas station tile in the MRA app actually DOES show gas stations along or very CLOSE to your route.
If you don't see it, it might be that there is none along or close to your route for many kilometers, OR that you do not have that option enabled in the app settings. It's in the functional settings menu.

Then use Sygic and not MRA.
Problem solved!@richard-3v Thanks for great advice. I want to MRA be better. Do not waste your time for such a post.
-
@Spili Open your route on the Website (Routlab)
Open route details, open POIs, select Gasstation.
Zoom in to find Gasstations along your route. You can create a Poi for the Gasstation or a Waypoint with a symbol of a gasstation.
@Peter-Zehentreiter This is not solution DURING driving.

OK then, use MRA using the Next app, not using AA or CP. Then you will see the icon as @Con-Hennekens refers to and your roblem is solved.
Or have I wasted my time again?? -
until now it is not supported in AA/CP. only in MRA Next app direct on phone or tablet you will see a petrol station notivication. this is ask before but then the answer was limitation on AA/CP. but good question if it works on sygic and not on MRA Next on AA/CP.
i hope the developmentteam can put it on the request list.
-
@Spili, I am sorry, in my earlier comment I left out that you are using an AA/CP device, obviously noticable in your screenshots... I believe the tile I mentioned is indeed not visible on AA/CP devices, because of restrictions bij Google and Apple. There is a limit to the available information on such devices, to keep them from being a distraction. MRA choose other info and buttons to be visible. Maybe something can be changed about that in the future.

in case of a A2B or on the fly in the app offline this is difficult to do.

If you have a list of Fuel stations in your POI library, select the profile icon and the fuel POIs will be visible in all of your routes when planning and when you are navigating.

There is reason I posted it in AA/CP sectionNot in MRA/Next section

@Bouke-Ent
@Con-Hennekens
There are restriction on AA/CP side?
I do not think so because my screenshots are from Sygic running on Android Auto.
Maybe MRA has any limitations we do not know? -

@Nick-Carthew Yes. I know I can plan my fueling.
But it is not a solution I need.
All I need is a icon or two with incoming petrol stations.
Then I know I must tank now or I can go and tank on next station. -

Maybe MRA has any limitations we do not know?i also have no idea but that was said last time there was this subject. i had same doubt and for me i was one of more reasons to dump AA/CP for now and use phone or tablet.

What reason do you think MRA would have to cripple the AA/CP interface like that?
Your screenshot from Sygic clearly shows it has much less clutter by buttons and info tiles on it's screen. They clearly choose different things to show than MRA did, but they cope with the same limitations. -

@Nick-Carthew so this - what you suggested - is only possible
- with a POI list, which you uploaded in your POI library?
- AND only with fuel stations?
I tried it with only activated fuel station from App internal POI list, this wasn't working.

@Guzzist You can only select the profile icon from your own POI library. The profile icon looks like a head and shoulders. Any list of POIs that you have added to your library can be made visible while navigating.
You must select the profile icon to see the POIs. -

Just at the moment when I read your explanation, I remembered that I had once read it somewhere. But at the time I didn't really realise the benefit. Now it is clear to me, and I find it valuable. For example, I can show all the Alpine passes that I have as a list in my library when navigating. Then I could spontaneously change my journey on the way because I see a pass nearby on the map. I can then simply add it to my route as an additional waypoint by pressing and holding on it.
How cool is that -

Stop saying that ! If MRA does not have functions that other apps (Sygic, TomTomGo) have, like showing the next gas station on Android Auto, that is not because of limitations. Limitations applies to all not only to MRA, so in this case, its a function that is just not implemented in MRA !
