Overview about Events and Blogs
-
If creating an event, it's only possible to flag the event as "private" or as "public". The state "for friends" (like at routes or tracks) is mising.
-> please create this value in applicable select list.In addition: at page "Activity Feed" there is a section "comming public events". If the new value "for friends" has been created for events - the filter for this widget at page "Activity Feed" must include such events too.
-> please update filter for widget "comming public events" to populate also events from friends. If creating a blog post, it's only possible to flag it as "public" or not. The state "for friends" (like at routes or tracks) is mising.
-> please create this value in applicable select list.If a blog post is created in state "public", no one can find it! But it's more than simply nice to read. It's valuable for other users, which are travelling in same area, or doing similar!
-> please create a new section /widget "last blog posts", to populate also blog posts at page "Activity Feed" .And a question: what does it mean: "comming public events"? Does "comming" mean next week, or next month, or next year? May give a hint, or make the time range selectable.
Thank you very much.

-> please create this value in applicable select list. You are missing the purpose of the event types. It is not like sharing a route publically or just for friends. An event is for anyone who subscribes. Public tells you that anyone can subscribe (friends included). Private means that you as organizer selects who may attend (friends included but not limited to them).

I was able to translate @Jörgen
- but I had doubts about when events would be displayed at this widget.
Because it's not clear how far in advance, events are published there: all events of the coming week, all events of the coming month, or all events of the nex half year?
Also it's unclear, how often this overview will be updated. I created test events, but they were not populated in this area. -
@Guzzist what widget are you refering to. The moment an organiser decides to publish an event it's shown to the invited participants.
Is that what you're looking for? -

That one at page "Activities":

I found the issue about visibility of events at page "Activities":
By creation of an event, it's needed to have entered minimum information:- date
- Citiy, or Region
- set type to "public"
then, an event will be populated immediately at page "Activities". So, no change, nor development is needed for this point of my suggestions.
But still an overview or teaser about blog posts should be presented at this page "Activities". Without any enhancement no one can find and read such blogs.
