Export share to Garmin Tread and Drive disappeared
-
My app was updated to the latest beta today on my iPhone and the ability to share to Garmin Drive or Garmin tread seems to have disappeared.
My phone is running version 4.3.0 - 328
My iPad is running version 4.2.1 - 322 and the sharing functionality seems to be there and working fine.
This is a bit of a pain, as I like to send routes to Garmin Tread from MRA as it then syncs wirelessly with my Zumo XT2.
Any fixes available?

@Alasdair-Denton-Miller I Just checked on my Android phone. The export to the Drive on the platform is available
-
@Alasdair-Denton-Miller I can't help you with the beta upgrade but just to confirm that like your iPad, my iPhone is still on 4.2.1 - 322 and allows imports from MRA to Tread. It's a shame you cannot roll back a beta or can you?
-
@Carl-Lee Maybe it's an Ios thing because on Android it's working OK
-
Definitely not working on iOS. At least for me.
I wonder if anyone else using the same version on iOS can confirm or deny?
-
Sadly, I don't think there is a way to roll back a beta. It's all managed under Apple's "Test Flight" tool, and I can't see an obvious way to go back to an earlier version. I stand in hope of being corrected though...
I guess the workaround is to take my iPad on the trip that I am going on tomorrow morning.

@Alasdair-Denton-Miller Just tried this and I have the same issue using iOS. Moreover, the file export type in the latest version is a .mra and not .gpx even though I selected gpx 1.1 for export. Tried saving to the ‘downloads’ in the app and also to an area within iOS ‘Files’ app.
Think you are best keeping your iPad on the previous version.

@Alasdair-Denton-Miller the way I get my routes from MRA to Tread is within the Tread app Explore Library. Three vertical dots top-right, click "Import Data (GPX)". It automatically selects MRA files that I've previously downloaded but also offers the ability to browse for files. Have you tried this way rather than exporting from MRA?
-
Thanks - that's definitely one way to do it.....but on iOS there is currently a problem.
When I download a route, it does appear in the MRA folder if I click on "Import Data GPX"...but as Dave J O says above, it has been downloaded as a .mra file even though the file selection asked for GPX 1.1 which Tread can't read!

Beta testers are the guinea pigs, we - the simple users - have to wait and are unaware of all the new improvements that are coming. I am a guinea pig for TomTom so I know the feeling.

@Alasdair-Denton-Miller ok, sorry to hear you’re having this problem. Maybe MRA admins could answer the question if you can raise a ticket with them. Sounds like this .mra file is a test to see where it might work. What is really like is 1.2 to work with Explore.
In the meantime , I’ll see if I can disable auto-update on iOS. -
I have locked this topic as it has now been posted in the BETA test section of the forum.
