@Gil-2 If I use the HERE, OpenStreetMap or the TomTom map for planning, none of these maps use the ferry from Rostock. Are you sure that it is still operating?
My Route ignores Ferry-route
-
Hi There,
I'm new with My Route. Trying to create my first route to Danmark.
I wanted to include the Ferry from Rostock to Gedser. But My Route keeps navigating from Rohstock to Putgarden to hop on an other Ferry.
Perhaps there's a impossibility in my idea, but the ferry seems to be available and running.
Does anyone have a clue why My Route refuses while MyDrive accepts this?Gil

@Gil-2 Place a route point on both sides of the ferry and choose the skip function on the far side.

@Nick-Carthew
TomTom Mydrive does and it is bookable on internet.
I could not find that 'SKIP' function but I found the same icon on the section function, 'OFFROAD'. That works; from begin to end Ferry-route OFFROAD. Makes sense!
Thanks for pointing me the right direction! -

Thanks for pointing me the right direction!The Off-road option is only available if you are using the OpenStreetMap to plan your route.
If you intend to use your route for a Garmin GPS device you need to use the Compare with Garmin tool from the toolkit.
If your device is a TomTom, use the Compare with TomTom tool.With the tool turned on, place enough route points so that your track on the OSM map is the same as the Garmin or TomTom.
