If you mean 15.8 by all means try to avoid it, it will be ABSOLUTELY FULL. Best time for Stelvio is mid wekk in mid June. Then it starts - meetings, oldtimers, bycicle races, marathons....some weekends are undrivable (at least from joy point of view) Been there 8 times, learned the lesson on first rides.

The worst was oldtimer tractor meet....average speed 5km/h and to wide to pass....

@Carlo-Baronchelli I give two thumbs up for this idea. It is not only a pain on the toosh in the route planner on the PC to add a waypoint in the middle of the route, THAT IS NOT ON THE CURRENT ROUTE.
Even bigger pain is when you do it on the phone or the tablet in the middle of the ride; finding the waypoint list, drugging the waypoint, I am too old for that... 🙂

Het heeft ook met nog veel meer factoren te maken. Namelijk de software instellingen waarmee de tijd wordt berekend. Maar ook hoe actueel de kaarten zijn. Ik heb voorbeelden gezien waarbij Here over een bepaalde route er 2 keer zo lang over deed als Openstreetmap, Tomtom of zelf Google. oorzaken:
Een nieuwe weg die veel korter is en Here nog de omweg neemt.
Here kaarten die aangeven dat een weg onverhard is terwijl het al wel verhard is. Als je dan "onverharde wegen vermijden" instelt wordt er weer omgereden.
Een klein bergweggetje dat opgewaardeerd is tot een grote doorgaande route. Tomtom en Open Streetmap wisten dat al wel, maar Here niet. Daar krijg je enorme verschillen in tijd. Tomtom nam vroeger bv. voor een bepaalde weg altijd de max snelheid minus 10km/h. Voor een stoplicht of een bocht wordt er een bepaalde tijd of snelheid genomen. De drukte van de weg wordt ingeschat. Dit soort parameters veroorzaken ook (soms grote) verschillen in de routetijd.

Thanks for the route. Now i regonise it, in the summer i wanted to take a hotel near the endpoint but i decide diverent. Maybe comming late springbrake it will be a nice place to visit.
I see you took the trip via Italie and then Slovenia, i leaved this out in the first place because i didn't know how much time the OP had.

MyRoute-app taught me that there are MANY flavors of gpx files.

I still have BC on a 10 inch Windows tablet, which I always took with me on multi-day trips. It works, but then you've said it all. I have not used the tablet since 2015
The use of waypoints in MRA is great if you worked with waypoints in BC, and if you use the break times you'll end up with the planned time nicely (in my case anyway)

Gravelwegen zijn in Noorwegen overigens ook vaak gewone doorgaande wegen. Bovendien van zo'n goeie kwaliteit dat je ze niet "unpaved" kan noemen. (Goldwingproef zeg maar 😀 )
En hoewel er steeds meer gravelwegen geasfalteerd worden, kom je ze natuurlijk wel tegen. Gravelwegen vriezen niet stuk.
Je komt ze dus in het zuidelijk deel steeds minder tegen.

After you have created a new route or opened an existing route, choose the option <Routes> in the left column. There you can find the "Add" function.

That's not the same road.

You are almost right @Herko-ter-Horst , it is the D81, but a bit further north.
There is indeed a closure so that it is not calculated from North to South over this route, but from South to North.
Season closures should ignore this closure. This is under investigation!
