    Ik heb vandaag met de nieuwe update 4.3.3 gereden en moet zeggen dat de batterijduur aanzienlijk is verbeterd bij vertrek op 100% en na zo'n vierenhalfuur gereden te hebben zat ik op 48 % daarvoor redde ik dat niet. Dus jullie zijn op de goede weg maar er is nog ruimte voor verbetering lijkt mij. Maar het hervatten van de route na onderbreking van de stroom toevoer naar mijn externe scherm loopt nog steeds vast. Ik heb mijn tracklog hiervan gemaild naar ondersteuning in afwachting van.

Er war frustriert und unglücklich denn er fuhr vorne. Nach einem spontanen Tankstop bin ich dann doch wieder vorne gefahren, habe versucht ihm das aber kurz zu erklärt, er fasste sich an den Helm und schüttelte nur noch den Kopf … Auch Abends beim Bier hat es zu einer längeren Diskussion geführt. …

    @Bouke-Ent I am with you, some users have houndrets of route in several files and need only a few for the next vacation, week, whatever. But it is as it is, some prefer this, some not and MRA trust in their way, which is sometimes a bit different to usual common practices in computer based handling. So what, the advantages of MRA predominate up to now, even with some frustration coming up and unexpected reactions. Yeterday I am back home and made my standard test and I had a lot of problems with verbal announcements of the POIs with 335. Informations are announced by random. No preannouncement but confirmation. preannouncement of POI1 but confirmation „You reached no 1“ when I reached the Sp 2, nothing was called for WP 5. An i folow the roules for announcemts and before 4.3. it works on the same route. I am meanwhile also frustrated to write about this and stop here. Regard to your concern My solution for easy access to my routes I want to use next session I create a folder „AA routes for use“ which is by alphabetic order the first file on the screen. Those routes I need will be copied in this folder with the same name and the appendix -copy- they get automatically. The originals stays in their folder and when the session is over it is easy to delete only the copies.

    @Benny-Van-de-Velde The only way automatic recalculation might mess up your routes is when waypoints would be skipped automatically without reason. This can be turned off entirely Deactivating recalculations completely cannot be turned off.

    Thanks MRA. This one seems to work quite good. End of May i have a 10-day trip to Scotland. If the coming updates are not going to break to current performance in Android Auto, i will use MRA on this trip. This will be first time i try/use it for this kind of trip. TomTom Go will be my backup.

That's exactly the great thing about it. No extra layer of complexity like you get with AA and Carplay. Joying is indeed a Chinese brand, but definitely one of the more serious ones. So it has many advantages, and a few disadvantages as well indeed. Since the amount of devices is A LOT less compared to phones, it is not really feasible to keep them up with the latest Android versions. They have Android 12 units too, and I prefer that FAR above any AA/CP device. It would be great if LineageOS would embrace that market. Or if Joying left the software development to them, so we could get an open platform with updates.

    @Corjan-Meijerink zou er een update geplaatst kunnen worden op basis van de silverfox die myrouteapp nu verkoopt? Anders is een handleiding bij het device nog een optie. Het is nu echt even zoeken welke knop waarvoor is.

    Really interested in this. Would be great if they can move ahead with the IOS app. I’d be in. When I contacted Carpe Iter about this recently it didn’t seem they were confident of delivering an Apple solution soon. Fingers crossed they’ve got some plans.

    @Doug-Robinson In all honesty, no idea why you would want this but it’s an Android thing Different engines simply offer different voices I’d say, give it a try! These are the default engines on your phone but as it’s Android you can install another engine with a whole different custom voice.

Gelukkig ben ik niet de enige die het opgevallen is. Overigens niet alle AA apparaten kennen deze scheiding heb ik gemerkt. Inderdaad, hier zou ik ook graag snel een oplossing voor willen zien, navigatie met stembegeleiding vind ik wel essentieel, in het drukke verkeer kun je niet continu op je scherm zitten kijken.
