@Lisi-Mayr both are unfortunately not possible for now. The first suggestion is on our list, the other is slightly more complicated as we would need to get that information from the navigation module which isn’t loaded in that part of the app.

Altitude indeed is not in the parameter set. Some people (me included 😉 ) have been asking for it. Hopefully some extra data fields will become available when development progresses.

I agree that an alteration to a more aggressive skipping of waypoints on the highway would be beneficial.

I had the advantage as I was in a car, riding as a passenger. I was therefore able to watch the display on the phone, whilst the car drove up the motorway. I knew that it would make no sense to leave the motorway, drive back down the other carriage way and rejoin. I just couldn’t understand why the app would tell me to. As I was a passenger in a car, it was easy to ignore the app’s instructions.

On a motorbike, on unfamiliar roads (even a motorway) it might not be so easy, especially if the user of the app was following the instructions blindly. That is why I agree with you, about making the algorithm more aggressive on highways would be a good idea.

Yes you can (of course), but it does not hurt to leave it until the platform does not work anymore. I have great confidence in the new app, but as an IT guy I value a backup 😉

@Daryl-Saunders, No there is no route-less navigation in the app, currently. You can however press the compass, the map will stay centered to the flyer. Tracking is totally possible this way. You are not the first one asking for free-driving navigation. It is already on the Dev teams list.
