@Con-Hennekens the first was WP2, message came up saying WP2 had been skipped before I got there. Perhaps that had something to do with it.

@Jon-Edwards, What navigation did you use before Next? The Old navigation app also used Here maps. To convert routes from OSM to HERE it is best to copy them, then load the original route into the copy so you can simply shape the copy-route to the underlying OSM route.

@Mario-Ivancic, A freedrive mode is on the list of good ideas already. But if ever, it will be based on the (here) navigation engine and not on the mainscreen map (OSM). It will not be ready for release date, it will be a function that might get added later. Many countries have their own "best radar app" and they are all different. And they probably all want your money if you want to embed it in another software. So it is a difficult thing. Nice idea, but with limited value. Most route planners plan their routes weeks before they actually are driven. Weather forecasts a quite meaningless in that stage. It might be better to have it in the app instead of the planner. So you can check your route for rain on the day that you want to go for a ride. This will most likely be "smoothened" before release.

@Corjan-Meijerink hi Corjan. Ik heb geen screenshots van de error. De kaarten en routes had ik gedownload. Omdat ik roaming had aanstaan probeerde ik via offline het op te roepen toen kreeg ik de foutmelding. Gisteren heb ik een route gereden in belgie en duitsland in online modus. Enkele keren viel internet uit maar toe schakelde hij foutloos over op offline. 225km lang zonder haperen gereden. Op de laatste 35 km liep de aanwijzingen vast (blauwe info blokken) doorgereden op de kaart en gps werkt prima alleen wel af en toe wat vertraging. De plaatsaanduider staat ergens in de bovenste helf van het scherm. Zou een enorme verbetering zijn als deze onderin het scherm zou staan. Zodat je wat verder vooruit kan kijken

@Corjan-Meijerink Thats funny. My update of the offline maps took only 3 min or so. Previously, it took more than 15 min. Maybe it's because I'm sitting next to my main Mesh route

@Tim-van-den-Hurk, Hij zal je proberen terug te leiden naar de track. Gaat het te vaak mis, of zijn er andere omstandigheden waardoor dat niet lukt, dan gaat die naar het eindpunt, snelste route. Een weg terug naar de track, of naar het volgende waypoint na een skip kan natuurlijk heel logisch via datzelfde punt gaan. Hij zal niet proberen dat punt te vermijden. Maar met doorrijden krijg je wel uiteindelijk een andere route naar dat punt. Probeer dus altijd vooruit te denken bij een omleiding, en niet achteruit.

@Jack-van-Tilburg CarPlay staat in zijn kinderschoenen... en moet eigenlijk nog volledig doorontwikkeld worden. De programmeurs hebben eerst hun focus op de app gelegd en na de release ga ik er van uit dat CarPlay en Android Auto wat meer aandacht zullen krijgen en dus alsmaar beter zullen werken en meer opties/mogelijkheden zullen krijgen

@Corjan-Meijerink klopt inderdaad, de modus stond (nog) ingesteld op fietsen; dank voor het antwoord.

@Doug-Robinson today I had a lot of trouble with the location indicator. It looked like was in a helicopter it switched from left to right and from top to bottom but not on the route. GPS in maps worked fine. I was riding as last and the app had to do lots of recalculating.

@Patrick-Langlet, There have been upgrades to the skipping algorithm since the last update, which will likely prevent skipping waypoints too far ahead. Please update and check the route again. If you want closer similarity to the original route you will need to place more shaping points. Next will simply reroute you to the next waypoint the quickest way. That's by design. It is not uncommon, for scenic routes, to place shaping points every 2 or 3 km depending on the availability of alternative options.

@Jörgen, Does that do what you hope it will do? I think it is more about road closures concerning maintenance and road works, or even blockage by accidents, not about prohibited for motorcycles in weekends but not on other days.
