Recently had an issue with my phone, had to re-load some apps and MRA was one of them. I have been using MRA for a few months and feel I have got pretty decent on routing routes. Did a little over 2200 miles and most of it was OK with MRA. Been on multiple local rides and all has been pretty decent. After the re-download of the app, hasn't been good. We went out on Sunday and this thing would not hold the route I planned, kept re-routing wanted me to take roads that weren't even on the route I planned. So please tell me do I have something wrong in my phone settings? Is there a way to shut off the route they wanna take me and only follow the route I want to go? Thank you for your help, please explain (if cell phone has wrong settings, why they are wrong) Screenshot_20250811_150626.jpg

I had a similar problem on my last trip. I restarted MRA and the route several times. Nothing helped. Eventually, I switched to Google Maps. And then I got a message saying that it was searching for the GPS! Strange, but then I restarted the phone. And lo and behold . . .
the problem was gone!
So it's not always MRA's fault! . .
probleem was over!
Het hoeft dus niet altijd aan MRA te liggen! -

As I stated I had to re-download the MRA app so I was looking for info to see if I might of had something set wrong. I did find a webinar on the subject and was able to confirm my setting are OK. I guess I still don't understand why on some routes It won't follow my waypoints, but on others it will.

@D-Griffin, I do not think re-installing an app would make such a difference. of-course some settings can change behaviour, but there is no setting for effing up a route ;-). In general, for scenic routing, I tend to disable traffic aware routing, but since it is greyed out (you are in off-line mode) it does not work anyway. It could be that in your previous setup you had auto-skipp turned off. I think that makes the biggest difference concerning altered behaviour, especially when routes are not very well designed.

@Con-Hennekens routs are designed well. In the beginning I had problems with shaping point placement. I have everything dialed in pretty well now. The ride i took on Sunday after the re-download, for some reason wouldn't even keep me on the "designed route" just kept trying to bring me another way.
