Mode 'By Foot' routing not working

Today I went for good long walk and thought I'd try the MRA app for routing as there's a 'by foot' mode.
It doesn't seem to do any thing, I picked a destination and selected the 'by foot' mode and hit go and it stayed on the route overview screen, it didn't go to the nav screen and dind't give me any directions, is this by design or is it broken?

Thanks@Rob-Kelley Cycling and walking do not announce turn by turn instructions. They only give a follow the line option. Create the route in either cycling or walking transport mode on the OSM planning map.
Then open the route and tap the position indicator so that the map move with you.Always willing to help if I can.
