MRA automatically launches when connected to Android Auto - why?
-
Why does MRA auto launch when my phone is connected to Android Auto? I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S21.
-
@Karen-Sturzenacker For me, MRA starts on CarPlay if it was the last app I used on CP. I think it’s the same for AA! In other words, the last app you used on AA will automatically start again when you connect your device to AA.
-
@Rob-Verhoeff It's indeed the same on Android Auto
-
CP has always the lat App on Top and start this. Music from my Phone Storage everytime with the last song. In addition MRA Map screen org Google Maps, whatever was lat in use.
But it doesn‘t start a route. Only the map with position is on the screen and music is playing. -
@Peter-Schiefer Hi Peter. That was not what I said. If the last app used in Android Auto was MRA, it will start with that app. If your phone still active with a route uit will pick up that route.
-
@Rob-Verhoeff Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the reason. I can go days without using MRA yet it still launches when I connect to Android Auto.
And, I realized with your reply that I should have been more specific. MRA launches/opens on my phone when I connect to Android Auto. No other app opens on my phone. Icons for Spotify, Pandora, etc appear on the Android Auto screen in my car, but MRA opens/runs on my phone.
-
@Karen-Sturzenacker I will do a test run tomorrow. Last app openend on my Android Auto was MRA. I’ll make shure no app is active on my phone and then check what will happen
-
@Karen-Sturzenacker did the test as promissed. Phone Android auto Clean boot.
As Soon as the system was ready it opened MRA, just the map.
After a stop and made shure that another app was active on AA it came op with a split screen, spotify, the last app and MRA
There goes mt theory
Maybe @Corjan-Meijerink can say something usefull to the case -
@Karen-Sturzenacker I can't reproduce it in any way. CarPlay always starts with the app I had last active. I do have my phone connected to CarPlay via a wired connection. I'm not sure if that makes any difference...
