Navigation map impossible to see
-
I have just got rid of my Garmin Zumo XT in favour of a CarPlay display unit on my bike (Chigee AIO-5) so I can use MRA navigation. However, I am really disappointed with how the navigation map is displayed, as the roads are shown light grey on a white background, making them impossible to see. Switching the map to dark mode isn’t much better as then it’s dark grey on black.
Surely there must be a way of showing the roads with more contrast? We need to be able to see where we are going at a glance, not have to stare at the screen.
Anyone managed to sort this out? -
@Mark-Bird comming next week there will be an update to solve that problem

Not quite correct. An update is going into BETA test soon. If it goes well, it will go on general release after testing.

@Nick-Carthew thank you for the information. For now I am going to be using Scenic as the ability to customise all the colours means it works really well on the Chigee AIO-5.

@Mark-Bird
I use now MRA next with CP on a SLC Cabrio Display for 3 days in sequence.
You are right with the arguement contrast is low on the general map. But, but, the dark blue route with my red position arrow is very clear to see. On routing I check only with a „half eye from time to time and on advices especially roundabouts „be I am on this blue route, do I follow them“. All other info are less important, so the announcement of new display color layout is fine, I appreciate this too, but a problem, may a point of view. -
Looking forward to the beta version. same here! just did 3500 km road trip. the visibility on the map is a problem. mostly if you want to change your route du to obstructions. or have just overview where your driving.
